I bought this SUV new in 2002 and 140K later, it's one of the best cars I've ever owned. Out of the gate, I had a lot of electrical issues but the warranty covered repairs. I've probably put in less than $2K in repairs and maintenance through the years and it's still running strong. I'll probably retire the beast in a few more years but I couldn't be happier with the value. It will be hard not to consider a Chevy when I move into my next truck.
I love the power I get off the line and the interior has held up very well (expect for the radio controls). I love to be able to switch from 2WD to AWD or 4WD with the flip of a switch. It will be hard to find another car that can do that these days. I love the 19 MPG I've been getting since '02.
The wind noise is a bit distracting at high speeds. The stereo is a bit weak but adequate. Why do GM products have so many electrical issues anyway?

My son Ryan, age 24, was cut off while driving on I-95. He lost control and spun across 5 south-bound lanes and slammed into a concrete barrier. The 03 Trailblazer was a complete total. But the built-in safety features absorbed most of the energy while the airbags and seat belts did their job. Ryan walked away with a minor neck sprain. I have nothing but high praise for Chevrolet building such safe and crash-worthy vehicle.
Obviously, the crumple zones and crush box construction. Airbags and seat belts rule! Wear your seat belts always!
