I Love My TrailBlazer
Vehicle
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS 2WD 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I have had my vehicle for 4 years now and still love driving it. It is very comfortable for short and long distance driving. The only mechanical problem was the left tailight had to be replaced, under warranty, and the tires only lasted 32,000 miles. The paint looks the sames as when I bought it. Still has a great shine to it. The gas mileage is OK, expected for the type of vehicle it is. So if you want a vehicle that handles well, gives you the power when you need it, and comfort, this is great!
Favorite Features
Comfort, dual climate control, great ride,
Suggested Improvements
Better gas mileage. Better tires on the new vehicles that last longer,

Excellence with exception
Vehicle
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LTZ 4WD 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Smooth, comfortable ride with many ammenities. Gas mileage 12 city, <18 hwy. Some recalls on wipers and seatbelt safety (but did not occur in my vehicle after inspection by dealership). Seems to be problem with rear lights - have replaced bulbs several times. I would buy another but this was the "first year" for the model. Just had to work out the bugs.
Favorite Features
Lots of room and plenty of power to haul big loads.
Suggested Improvements
Check on tail-light function. Something just doesn't seem right with constant burn-out of bulbs.

An American Rovlution

2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT 4WD 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
The TrailBlazer has an excellent ride going long distances. The exterior is excellent from a quality standpoint. You can see where they cut corners on the interior. The plastic that protects the odometer cracked from wear and tear and you have to press a button 4 times to turn the lights off during day riding. But, the car for the most part is dependable and is terrific in the snow. It has excellent pickup and smooth acceleration. I like the aggressive front as well. I would recommend it and by another one
Favorite Features
The ride comfort and the pickup
Suggested Improvements
Better headlights. They had to be replaced after 20k miles. The starter went once and I wish the dash was higher quality

I couldn't afford it.
Vehicle
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT LT 2WD 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I loved this car. It had enough room for my family of 5 plus a little more. In December 2002, the transmission went out for the first of three times. It was under warranty the first time, but not the other two times. The rear air conditioner had problems as well. On two different occasions it had to be repaired. After the third transmission failure in August 2005, I fixed it and traded it. I miss the car, but I had spent over $4,000 in repair and maintenance costs in the 15 mos following the expiration of my warranty. I just couldn't afford it anymore.
Favorite Features
DVD, auto-on lights, rainsense wipers, fold down seats.
Suggested Improvements
I hope they have worked out the problems in this first EXT version. I wonder if the I6 engine had something to do with the transmission failures.

Few Problems
Vehicle
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS 4WD 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I've had my Trailblazer since March 2003. I have never had a major repair or problem with the vehicle. Handles like a car, and if you keep up with regular maintenance schedules, the car is a joy. I'm pushing 100,000 miles after 4 years and the car is still running like day one. I used to own a Blazer and it rode like a rock after 6 months, but the Trailblazer has run like a car since day one and thereafter. I would highly recommend it for safety, style and dependability.
Favorite Features
Horsepower and seats. Good pickup and power as far as engine is concerned. Seats are very comfortable.
Suggested Improvements
Making am/fm/cd controls standard feature on the steering wheel. Maybe a better sound package standard as well.

Comfort To Drive
Vehicle
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS 4WD 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
As an owner of this vehicle I have recommended it to several friends. I even went as far as to buy my wife one with the OnStar package. When you travel as much as I do you want reliability and comfort with no hassles and the Chevy TrailBlazer gives you just that. Best car I have ever owned
Favorite Features
Best part about this truck is that it takes a beating and keeps on going. The 4x4 on demand is the best feature not mention the turning radius of this vechile is best in its class.
Suggested Improvements
All new TrailBlazers should come with front and rear rain shields.

My Review
Vehicle
2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LT 4WD 4dr SUV (4.2L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I have been a fan of Chevy all my life. The TrailBlazer is comfort, style, class, and power all wraped into one big Chevy. I would definitely say that this is one of the most fun filled SUV's I have ever owned. The power of the TrailBlazer is unmatched by any other SUV I have ever owned. I would totally recommend a TrailBlazer anyday over an Explorer to anyone!
Favorite Features
OnStar, on the fly 4x4, leather, driver and passenger power seats, dual climate controls, steering wheel controls.
Suggested Improvements
Larger area of windshield wipers.
Nice truck

Review
Bought the TrailBlazer 4WD LTZ brand new almost 5 years ago, trading in my '96 Grand Cherokee Limited. Fuel economy, handling, power, reliability and quality are all about the same. The Chevy has better interior space and comfort although I think the front seats could be better. I think the Chevy's style, ride, stereo and other gadgets are better than the Jeep's. The only thing I miss is the sound of the V8. Chevy's V6 might have plenty of power but the sound of it is almost embarrassing. The trips back to the dealer have been infrequent, just regular servicing, fixing the turn signal on the side mirror that the car wash people broke and to fix a ding in the hood.
Favorite Features
In dash 6 CD changer, sunroof, heated seats, roomy interior, storage compartments in the back, great looking on the outside...
Suggested Improvements
Dated design inside. Make the seats more comfortable, especially the seat bottom! Fix the system that controls the seat/mirror/radio/AC recall- the seat & mirrors NEVER go back to the right place. I turned off that function a long time ago because it got so annoying.
