I am having the same issue with my 2002 TB. The console gauges all go to zero excpt the speedometer. Have you had a resolution? I was told to replace my ignition switch. I agree with most if not all of what you said. The only thing incorrect is my jumping off of G.M.'s ship after 1 failure. My most recent G.M. product prior to my 2002 TB LTZ was a 2001 Trailblazer. I have a 2003 4Runner, and you won't avoid wind noise buying a 4Runner, in fact the 4Runner is louder than my former 1997 Blazer. But the TB is way more comfortable than a 4R. You are right that quality is the main issue-that's why I didn't buy the TrailBlazer. Too many recalls on 2001 and 2002 models as well as endless complaining on this forum. IF you are thinking about buying chevy trailblazer then forget it. Don't even think of buying it in your dreams. It's the least reliable vehicle chevy makes. Read the consumer reports. For 2002-2004 Trailblazer has a 8 recalls. Hope that you got all the information that you need.
To replace fuel tank, is for certain vehicles built within the following VIN breakpoints: 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT 22442652-22460353 and 26100010-26138714 2002 GMC Envoy XL 22437217-22460354 and 26100018-26138713 If you have a vehicle that may qualify, you should receive a letter from GM about this special policy. If you do not receive a letter and want to know, call your favorite dealership, with your VIN, and ask the service dept.

The story I read mentioned other vehicles and recalls in addition to the tail light recall for the 2002-2004 Chev TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy, Olds Bravada, & Buick Rainier. 2003 Chevy Malibu, Olds Alero and Pontiac Grand Am have the sticking accelerator problem.

My 2002 TrailBlazer is getting rust at the seams of the doors. I had a 1998 Chevy Malibu that experienced the same problem. I take excellent care of my vehicles so Chevy has a problem they need to address. Has anyone else seen corrosion at the seams inside your doors?

Some customers of 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, GMC Envoy and Oldsmobile Bravada with 4.2L (LL8) L6 engine produced during the 2001 calendar year may experience cracking of an engine cylinder bore liner, resulting in engine noise, poor performance, and/or stalls with no engine re-start. Engine replacement is necessary to correct this failure. (don't ask where I got that...I'll never tell.. but your dealer will have this info )
