Chevy Tahoe Stabilitrak Problems

  • Re: 2007 Chevy Tahoe - Stabilitrak, Oil Consumption, Wheel Bearing Issues [1before40]

    Written by: msw007 on Apr 29, 2013 6:08:53 PM

I never filed anything with the Washington State AG office. I wonder if I should? I'm not a great believer in the BBB. This seems to be prevalent in the 2007-2009 model years. 2007 was the first model year with the new AFM system and the lifters seem to be the main culprit. GM made a modification in late 2009 for the 2010 model year. I'm in the process of having ... Read More

While I have no doubt that there may be other issues with these vehicles given what I've read there is almost certainly a vibration issue stemming from the Cylinder Deactivation System. Chevy Suburban/Tahoe Rough Idle and Stalling

We had the same issue with our 2008 Suburban that I posted a year ago. The rough idling, in our case, was caused by failing AMF lifters. We had to have all of them replaced + the throttle body assembly replaced. We continued to see high oil consumption on the engine. Eventually, GM agreed to replace the entire engine. Here's what I suggest before your warranty runs out. 1.) Tell the ... Read More
