10/12/2008 I had the same experience with my 2004 Z-71 Tahoe back in June of this year. There were no visible signs of leaks or drips from gaskets or the water pump. After being jacked around by the the GM dealer that I bought the Tahoe from and being told that I needed to spend between $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 for new cylinder heads, I took it over to an independent mechanic ... I am wondering if anyone has had all of the problems I have had for the last 2 years with my 2007 Chevy Tahoe? Thanks for your response. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. As I pointed out, there were no visible signs of leaks or drips from gaskets or the water pump. The engine was very clean. I have had the same problem with my 07 avalanche... dead as a door nail on some mornings for no reason. I was absolutely choked after spending that money for unreliable / unpredictable vehicle and no one giving me any answers so after a few hours of searching the internet, I came across this summarized GM bulletin. 2006....I'd get it to the dealer as a warranty fix. For my 97, the wiper motor was on the inside of the firewall, with the motor bracket connections to the wipers underneath that mesh cover under the windshield. In my 2007, the motor moved to underneath the windshield mesh cover. Either way, all the connectors are underneath that mesh cover area directly underneath ... Read More...

Can anyone share dealer info in the Tampa or Florida area where a dealer was able to move on price on a Tahoe or Yukon? My target is 30-31K for LS or SLE. I know this relates to a Suburban but I've also seen the same deals on the Tahoe. We previosly had an early build 2007 Tahoe and just recently traded into a 2007 Suburban. Keep trying. I did convince Jim Reed Chevrolet in Nashville to replace the steering mechanism, and that fixed the problem for me. GM probably figures it's too expensive for them to have a nationwide recall if it's not a safety issue. They told me that the majority of owners can't even hear it.
