Sounds familiar! I just found out this morning that I have to fork out $4200 for a complete tranny rebuild for my apparent piece of crap 2006 $59,000 Chevy Tahoe! Only 74,000 miles on it! I can't believe I ever bought a Chevy! They fork out more money into their people's retirement, that their product is crap! Thank you Union bastards! Thank you Chevy! Quite funny everyone is having these problems. Now I know Iam not alone. I have a 2006 Chevy Tahoe. I can't leave it on or I will need a jump and the air in the rear comes on by itself . Battery is fine. Now I can't a diagnostic reading because that device is not working. This is crazy. GM need ot fix their vehicles.

2006....I'd get it to the dealer as a warranty fix. For my 97, the wiper motor was on the inside of the firewall, with the motor bracket connections to the wipers underneath that mesh cover under the windshield. In my 2007, the motor moved to underneath the windshield mesh cover. Either way, all the connectors are underneath that mesh cover area directly underneath the front windshield. The Tahoe appears to depreciate because of the wide margin between MSRP and Invoice for the Tahoe (about $6k). Edmunds assumes you bought at MSRP. So in one year when you can sell your Tahoe for ~$3000 less than invoice (real price paid) depreciation really isn't that bad. For a Honda the MSRP and invoice prices are much closer together. Well, the current Tahoe/Yukon date back to 2000 when they were completely overhauled. They have been tweaked here and there, but there's no hiding their age. The next generation Yukon/Tahoe really have to be good to compete against the Expedition/Armada/Sequoia and the other numerous crossovers. what I heard is that it will include a few 2006 models. I wouldn't be surprise to see Tahoe on the list since the redesigned '07 is supposed to come out in early 2006 (or so I hear). I cut and pasted what is posted from the General Motors Online Order / Reference Guide website. http://eogld.ecomm.gm.com/ after you select the year and type of vehicle (i.e 2006 light cars/trucks), click on the Chevy logo, then the very next windo that pops up, use the drop down menu in upper right corner to selct make of vehicle. I saw a small pic in the Sunday Chicago Tribune showing an artist rendering of the 2006 Tahoe. It was a copy of a pic that looks like it ran in Popular Mechanics (according to the credits).
