2004 Chevrolet Tahoe LS 4WD 4dr SUV (4.8L 8cyl 4A)

Review

This is my third Tahoe. In the past, I've gotten about 20 mpg on my daily commute, and have been very satisfied with the performance. This new Tahoe gets 12-14 mpg! Very disappointed. Dealership has checked vehicle, nothing they can do. Fuel economy will be the top priority in my next vehicle purchase, the Tahoe won't make the cut. Can't even trade at this point because of the flood of rebates and "employee pricing" out there - I've had it for 7 months and owe $12K more than someone can buy a NEW one for! Makes it impossible to get rid of!!

Favorite Features

Bose stereo, room.

Suggested Improvements

Get the mileage up, up, UP! Make Americans want to BUY American-made vehicles!!

Review

We bought a brand new white chevy z71. It listed for 47,992 with the options we put in it. It is one of the most horrible cars, seriously. You feel like your driving a 10,000.00 car from the inside. EVERYTHING on the dash and center console is plastic, and to top it all off there is horendiously cheap looking vinyl on the backs of the seat. It cruises well on the highway at aroud 70 but taking turns at 30 off exits is scary. Lately i have been hearing a esterior wistle and i dont know what it is...but i cant wait for a month to replace it with the new range rover.

Favorite Features

Alloy wheels look nice. lookis nice on the outside.

Suggested Improvements

-Blang interior -cheap looking-feeling interior -bad ergonomics -Lazy imprecise steering -acceleration noise

Review

The Tahoe is a great SUV but it has poor fuel economy and its not too comfortable in the third row.

Favorite Features

The seats, the engine, and the steering wheel.

Suggested Improvements

The tahoe`s inprovements should be better fuel economy, wider seats for more leg room, more power, and more features.

Review

This suv is nice I jus bought it in July but unfortunately because of a poor customer service event in buying the suv I am trading it in for a Chrysler Pacifica. This gas mileage sucks worst than expected. The dealership experience was the worst I have ever encountered. They wouldn't give me a full tank of gas when I bought the darn thing! Its a 40,000 dollar vehicle and I cant even get a gas card.

Favorite Features

spacious, ladies love it, good if u are towing something.

Suggested Improvements

more fuel efficient, offer more standard stuff on a 40,000 dollar vehicle, way better customer service. GOVERNOR SET @ ONLY 98 MPH!! RAISE A LITTLE BIT.

Review

the title says it all. Poor low back support with the adjustable lumbar support too high for me and not height adjustable. Poor padding in the aft portion of the lower cushion and the rear end or driveline clunks loudly when shifting 1st to 2nd 2nd to third or downshifting much of the time. Told this was normal. Also rough idle sometimes and unusual sounds at idle. Told this was normal for a chevy not by selling dealer but by others.

Favorite Features

short wheelbase easy to handle around town

Suggested Improvements

better quality control and really poor dealer response to issues- worst customer sevice on any car ever owned.
