10/12/2008 I had the same experience with my 2004 Z-71 Tahoe back in June of this year. There were no visible signs of leaks or drips from gaskets or the water pump. After being jacked around by the the GM dealer that I bought the Tahoe from and being told that I needed to spend between $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 for new cylinder heads, I took it over to an independent mechanic ... Im having the same problem!!The other day we went to drive my 2001 Tahoe and it wouldnt go out of 2nd gear...we put it on a machine and said it was the Torqe Converter...$190.00 later..it wasnt!! So we took it to a trannie place and said the belt that makes 3rd gear run broke so Its gonna cost $1000.00 to rebuild it!! Everywhere I called its the same thing!!I got my tahoe ... Read More...

Thanks for your response. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. As I pointed out, there were no visible signs of leaks or drips from gaskets or the water pump. The engine was very clean. The symptoms sound like either a bad battery, loose/corroded terminals or wires connectors to the battery, a bad alternator which isn't charging the battery up, or something is defective and is draining the battery down while it sits. Read More...

Any ideas? I attempted to start my tahoe this afternoon. It barely turned the engine a smidge and then clicked a few times. I heard the vehicle speakers clicking, quickly turned off the radio, and it continued to click for a minute or so. Tried to start vehicle and got absolutely no power.
