Try the other key. Each key has a security chip in it, which is programmed to work with the computer in the car. If that doesn't work, have the vehicle towed to the dealership with your keys, and they can reprogram the computer to accept the security chip in each key.

The symptoms sound like either a bad battery, loose/corroded terminals or wires connectors to the battery, a bad alternator which isn't charging the battery up, or something is defective and is draining the battery down while it sits.

I have a 2001 Tahoe which also had fan problems. The fan only worked on settings 3 through 5. I replaced the blower resistor (about $30.00 from Chevrolet Parts). 2001 Suburban makes a clicking noise under the dash at a rate of one per second when the a/c is on after a short period of time. When I stop the a/c the clicking goes away. Turn the a/c back on and the clicking starts again after a short period of time. A/C works fine.

There is a rubber grommet behind the glove box where other wires come through. I used this location when running wires on a 2000 model. Look under the hood on the passengers side about midway between the engine and the fenderwell. Another good choice is to check where the antenae lead comes through. Jim

Sorry I did not mean to imply that the 2003 Tahoe was different than 2003 Yukon, just that it was different than the 2001 Yukon. The reason that I bought the Tahoe is strickly price. The chevy dealer offered me $800.00 more trade-in and $200.00 closer to invoice. The dealers were across the street from one another.

Any opinions b/4 I buy
Does anyone have or just want to share your opinion on my previous post on a used 2001 Tahoe LT w/ all options for $28k but has 35k miles. I have never owned a Tahoe or Chevy for that matter so do not know if mileage should be a major concern or not. Vehicle is perfect in/out. Comes with a 3 yr/50k GMPP major guard w/ $0 deductible. Most dealers have a lot of 2001 models leftover, so they are not anxious to load up on 2002 models and make their 2001 models less marketable. There are very few 2WD GM models available, so you may have to order one if that is what you want. Hi all, I have a 2001 Tahoe. I've noticed that while driving on roads that have drainage crackes or just cracke on them causes a vibration in the steering wheel. 2001 Tahoe, 5.3L Preidle piston slap
My brand new, one month old, Chevy Tahoe Z71 with a 5.3L V8 has developed what Chevrolet calls an engine "characteristic", pre-idle piston slap. I have a Yukon XL with a moon roof,onstar, manual climate controls, and NO COLD AIR LEAKS. It was built in Mexico. TIre Sizes
I recently bought a 2001 Chevy Tahoes which came with P245/75R16 tire sizes. I now want to put on P265/60R17 wheels and tires. I was told by a service representative at a Chevy dealer that if I put on this size tires that it would throw my speedometer off, could lock up my transmission, and it would void my extended warranty. Does anyone know if any of this is true?
