07 Chevy Suburban: No Start, Battery/Positive Terminal Fault
Written by: james0258 on May 12, 2012 8:34:48 PM
Just confirming the very real problems described in the previous 227 posts. I lived with it from summer 2010 (65,000 miles) to May 2012 (103,000 miles). I traded for new 2012 Suburban rather than invest more time in a futile effort to make the vehicle dependable. First time, nearly got stranded in the desert of Utah with mystery no start problem; forced to stop in Tucumcari, NM on the way back ... Read More

Nothing. The dealership lunkheads could not figure it out. I took the Suburban to a local auto repair shop and they pulled the battery and tested it thoroughly. As it turned out, the actual battery was defective, it wouldn't hold a charge for very long. I had recently bought this battery from the local Pep Boys dealer and the brand name was Bosch. I replaced the defective Bosch with an AC-Delco. ... Read More

We bought our 2004 Chevy suburban is 2009 and it ran fine for about 1.5 years. In December 2010 the batteries started to die. We replaced the battery and thought maybe that was the problem. Three week later the battery dies, so we replace it again..Took it to the auto shop in March 2011 and they stated it's just a bad battery and I asked what about the alternator??..They acted like ... Adding on to my original post as the saga continues - 2008 Chevrolet Suburban with 40k miles. We don't fall under the state lemon law because the majority of our issues happened after 24k. Lee Johnson Cheverolet has been very responsive but the issues continue to happen and now I'm worried about overall damage to the engine. 1k - we had to have the steering gear replace. 5 days out of ... GM denied the buyback yesterday so I am going to a local shop per the recommendation of the service mgr at the second Chevy dealership (Cavender Chevy) that called the vibration "suspension recovery" - company repairing is Southwest Brake and Alignment and I'll be paying out of pocket to have the mechanical problems fixed. Anywhere from 150.00 up but the tech at Southwest says he guarantees it will resolve the problem, ... Read More

Still messing around with teh 2010 Suburban - 2nd dealership calls the vibration "suspension recovery" and recommended taking it to an aftermarket alignment shop to have the driveline/tires, etc balanced. Also had me drive a 2011 LS in attempts to compare with how my LTZ should be driving - not even the same suspension - absolutely ridiculous. Anyhow - Katie at Chevy customer service has been great and submitted the buyback ... Read More

Has been looked at by Freedom Chevrolet in San Antonio and has two new sets of tires on it and it has not resolved the vibration appearing to come out of the rear of the truck - any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated as I am at wits end with this ... We have a 2009 Suburban that we bought last May 2010 (Certified Used Car). When we first looked at the vehicle I noticed that the right rear door lock did not work and told the salesperson. We ended up buying the vehicle a few weeks later and they apparently had fixed it. Starting in December the the right rear stopped working, then soon afterwards the front right, and then the rear ... I was looking for an LTZ or fully loaded Z71. LTZ was pretty easy to find, but the loaded Z71 was a task. Only found 1 within 300 miles. I called a few dealers to price shop the LTZ vs the Z71. They all came off about $3500 plus rebates. Didn't matter if it was a 2010 or 2011. 2010 came with an extra $1000 rebate, but I decided to sacrifice ... Read More
Are you aware of a cluster problem with 04 Tahoe's? I own a 04 Tahoe and the gauges became erratic. Over time all my gauges were effected and I had to have the cluster replaced. That is when I learned of the wide spread problem. I had it replaced about a year ago, and at that time, there was a "discount" for the cluster depending on the miles on the vehicle. ... Read More
Cont..we would be at a stop light and the tackometer would rev up to 2 or 3 for no reason and this would occur also at lower speeds. We had checked into lemon laws and were informed about after 24,000 miles you could not make a claim, and therefore since we were approaching that number, we decided to put the heat on our chevy dealership for a chevy buy back.
