Chevy Suburban Maintenance and Repair

Re: 2007 Suburban brake problem [arrie]

I took my Suburban to a Chevrolet dealer along with the original brakes labeled as to where I removed them. I told them I didn't expect to be reimbursed for the aftermarket carbon ceramic brakes, I just wanted to know what caused the premature failure and uneven wear of the brake pads. I was told that since I installed aftermarket brake parts, I voided my factory ... Read More...

Battery Drain 2007 LTZ

Re: Battery Drian 2007 LTZ [raleighwolf]

There is a major design flaw in the Tahoe and Suburban LTZ models. I have a 2007 Tahoe LTZ and my dealer nor Chevy can figure out the problem. I just had my 3rd battery replaced today on mine. It has the same problem as your Suburban, it only takes about 15 minutes with the radio on, doors shut, key in the ignition (not in ACC mode) and the battery will drain to the point ... Read More...

2007 Chevy suburban

I bought this truck new. At 20000 miles the transmission went out and was rebuilt buy the dealer. I have about 65000 on it now and when you start out it feels like the transmission is slipping or the rear end has slack in it. When you start from a stopped position it makes a couple of jerking motion like it has slak in the rear end. I also bought an EXM radio player that plugs ... Read More...

Chevy 2007 Tahoe emergency flasher kill battery

Re: Chevy 2007 Tahoe [spidey3]

I don't think anyone ever suggested that the battery would go dead after 20 minutes of playing the radio. What many of the manufacturers have done, is set their body management computers to turn off power when the key is turned off....after some 'reasonable' period of time. So somebody then defines 'reasonable', and picked whatever they picked (and I'm taking ... Read More...

Re: Chevy 2007 Tahoe emergency flasher kill battery [spidey3]

I'm going to shoot from the hip here a little, without looking things up or checking out in the driveway on my 2007 Suburban. - accessories turning off, I believe that is normal to keep the battery from being drained down. That's controlled by the BCM (body control module) which is the computer that controls all of the lights and internal body electricals. I believe ... Read More...

Trading in 2007 Chevy Tahoe for more reliable SUV or Minivan

Have had electrical problems with recent SUV purchase, a 2007 Chevy Tahoe, has not been reliable but love the ride. Ready to trade in for a more reliable SUV or minivan. I miss the storage space of the minivan but enjoy the comfortable cabin, smooth ride and look of the SUV. Any other suggestions of new or used reliable SUV's or minivan's that would be around $40,000 ... Read More...

Re: 2007 Chevy Suburban died on me [burb2007]

Leasing is just one other financing arrangement. You can: - pay cash (and the dealership gets its' cash for the car, or - you can take out a loan with someone and you own the car when the payments are over (and the dealership gets its' cash for the car), or - you can find someone to do a lease with and whomever wrote the lease owns the car when the payments are over (and the ...
