2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LS 4WD 4dr SUV (5.3L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I use the vehicle for both business and
family transport (4 kids).
Highs = people and gear fit nicely,
ride/performance is good, fuel economy
suprising
Lows = build/design driver's seat has
squeaked since last year (annoying),
engine rattles when first started
(dealer/others claim it's a design
problem with pistons!!! no fix short of
a rebuild)

Overall, I like the size and
performance I just wish Ford would make
one this size as GM's quality is suspect
(I've had "0" problems with 3 F150's
owned)

Best Features

Size Fuel economy (for its size) Handling (turns sharply)

Worst Features

Build/design/reliability: Fix noisy engine problem (embarassing to GM when people hear mine start-up) Revise seat recliner design Transmission durabilty a question (three co-workers have had transmissions break within 40k miles)
