Hi I used to own a 1995 chevy suburban. And I had the same symtoms as you do. When I would come to a stop at a red light the engine would die. I go to park it the engine would die. And when I put my foot on the gas it would lurch forward. When my engine would die I would lose power steering. I go to start it again it would crank forever and not start. Yes there is a fuel filter and i have replaced it a maybe a year or so ago when i started noticing this issue. Im going to go and print out the wiring diagrams and check to see what exactly is going on. Thank you very much! I'm only going by your error code clue of low voltage at the pump. I had a '96 350 engine, but never had any fuel issues at all. I'm on the road, so don't have access to my old factory manuals. I don't even know that there is a relay in the circuit, but many vehicles have relays so suggested you could look in that area. I'm taking a stab in the dark, and suggesting to get yourself ... hmm well i never would have thought of the relay. i figured if it kicked the fuel pump on it works. but why is it that when i up such a demand on the engine the relay would be the culprit? not that im doubting you in any way. im just confused when it comes to this matter. thanks for the help buddy! if you got any more insite or if anyone has any other ideas please feel free to ... You may want to track down electrical schematics for your vehicle. If you have a relay for the fuel pump, you may want to swap it out. Read More...

I own a 1995 Chevy Suburban with a 7.4L 454 Big Block V8 This beast will utterly demolish any sub compact car not only in an accident (God forbid) but also at the gas pump! She weighs roughly 3 1/2 tons! Her fuel thirsty 42 gallon gas tank is a HOG at the gas pump. I get roughly 7-8 miles per gallon. I have a 1995 Surbaban that only blows air from the defrost. The A/C stopped working the next day. I checked the freon level and it was ok. I also checked the compressor and it worked ok when I sent 12v direstly to it. What can I check next. The a/c button on the dash seems to flicker but nothing happens. Thanks Steve Read More...
