Great first car for our college graduate.

2014 Chevrolet Sonic LTZ 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 6A)
We were very fortunate to have over $4000 in GM card points that were allowed to be transferred to an immediate family member, so a Chevy or GM product was a definite choice.
We looked at several models and the Sonic Sedan was the best choice based on price, safety, features and overall performance.
She was able to get a lot of the bells and whistles and still keep the car within her price range.
Prices vs features.
She got an LTZ 4 door model with Sunroof, leather, heated seats, power seats, onstar, sirus, back up camera and remote car start in the metallic paint for around $20,000.
A lot of bang for the buck.
We live in central Pennsylvania and this car was purchased in January 2014.
It snows the very next day after the purchase and the stock tires on this car were just terrible.
She almost wrecked only a mile from home.
We took it to a tire dealer (and drove white knuckled the entire way) and he put a winter grip tire on it for her.
she can run it all yr & should be able to get 30,000 miles off this set.
We were not interested in changing tires every winter/summer.
Luckily, he gave her $50 per tire for her barely used ones.
So if it snows were you live add an extra $600 to the cost of the car because you will have to get tires, no matter how good of a driver you are.
