Im kinda surprised no one has posted here in a while but here is my 2 cents. Was looking to replace a work truck with a heavy duty truck to pull a new cargo trailer. Wanted a used diesel because new are so expensive. I simply could not make a deal with any dealers on used Dodge diesels, stuff 3-5 years old and 30-70k miles. We just purchased a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500hd diesel. It has the radio controls in the steering wheel. They work fine, but we cannot use the radio on the dash board. We can't change the time, can't use the volume button on the dash, can't program our radio stations. Not sure if we need to tear apart the dash board or what. Just purchased a 2005 Silverado 2500hd with the D-max. I traded in my Dodge 1500 with 4.7 v-8. The Dodge would "cry" every time I hooked up my travel trailer to it, but the chevy barely notices.... like a fly hitting the windshield of a mack truck, it just doesn't matter. I've been wanting to go diesel but the price kept me at bay until gm came out with the employee price ... Read More...
