I use the truck to travel and to haul equipment and it is the best truck in my book compared to the ford F350 and the dodge 2500 i test drove them both and out of all the diesals it is the best

Review

The truck has a powerful engine with just enough noise to let you know you're driving a truck. Suspension and interior features provides the driver and passenger with a cozy ride. The Silverado has a lot of options that are fun and functional. All in all, a great truck.

Favorite Features

Push button 4WD conveniently located and isolated to prevent "accidents." Big engine. Spacious interior.

Suggested Improvements

Lockable tailgate standard; lockable gas tank. Lockout to prevent passengers from operating the power windows. Larger standard tires.

Review

Great power and ride. After compareing the big three it was evident that there was no compare. It was the winner by far. Ford looks so plain and out dated compared and Dodge could not hold there resale value if they had to. It was very easy for me to go with the Chevy.

Duel climate control, power, handling just about everything.

Suggested Improvements

Needs larger factory tires,the fog lights should automatically come on when the low beams are on.

Awesome Truck

This is my first Chevy and I am very impressed. I drove the Dodge and Ford and the Chevy was much quieter (Duramax Diesel) and the proformance was better than that of the Dodge. Very pleased with my new truck.

Review

Mine is a 2002, with 33,000 miles. The Duramax Diesel Allison trans combination is worth the money, even for standard driving. I two 2 small trailers, under 3000 lbs, and the mileage stays 15 mpg at 70 mph. The brakes are phenominal. My last truck was a Dodge Ram, this is far superior.

Favorite Features

Diesel mpg, big back seat for kids, big console for stuff, great brakes.

Suggested Improvements

My cloth interior has power seats, but they don't have the adjustability of the leather seats, buy the leather for better long trip comfort.

Duramax Crew Cab

Review

This truck has met or exceeded my expectations. When pulling a car hauler loaded with ATV's it is easy to forget that the trailer is back their. The tail does not wag the dog. The crew cab provides plenty of room for four adults on long drives. So far the best fuel mileage without a trailer is 18 mpg. I have heard it gets better after engine break in has occurred. The allison transmission lives up to the rave reviews. It shifts smoothly in standard and tow mode. I like the way it down shifts in the tow mode. I have had no problems with the truck.

Favorite Features

Duramax engine, Comfortable for 4 adults, Smooth ride, Build quality, Storage areas and interior features.

Suggested Improvements

Add a radar detector. Mud flaps should be standard on all trucks. After all its a truck. For the price of these trucks it should come with a longer factory warrenty.

Very Happy with this truck drove a Dodge and Ford did not like them and I did like the power of the Duramax engine better!!!!!!!!!!!!
