I was impressed the first time I drove this truck by the smothness of the 2500 HD 4 wheel drive. Much improved over previous model's ride. Although the truck still has less than 700 miles I have notice that the gas mileage is improving as the miles add up. The progamable features which allow custom features is much better than the fixed features of earlier models. Power and towing is impressive. I have towed my John Deere tractor (6000 lb + 2500 trailer) up an gravel road incline on my ranch and the truck did not show any signs of slipage of the transmission or lack of torque from the engine.
Favorite Features
Wow! This is a hard question to single out one item. But I guess the programable features is number one. The electronic 4 wheel drive selection is number 2. The engine and transmission combination is number 3. Body tighness and style is number 4.
Suggested Improvements
This may be picky but, I miss little things like the underhood light, and the retractable cord work light even though I only used them twice on my old 1988 truck.

I brought my 2500HD Duramax and a travel trailer the same day. I hooked my travel trailer to my truck and could not believe the torque it had. Coming home I had to come up several tall long hills and the speed stayed constant. The fuel mileage is not as good as thought it should be but I am told that it will get better with more miles on it. I could not be happier with my Chevrolet 2500 HD Duramax.
Favorite Features
I love the extendable mirrors and the interior and also the ride is great for a HD Truck. Also love the exterior as lines.
Suggested Improvements
I wish they would have put at least 265 tires or higher on it.

Quiet, outstanding comfort. A little slow on acceleration to pass at highway speeds. Lots of torque! Good turning radius for long-bed truck. 18- 19 mpg combination highway and around town, 20+ on steady highway driving. Have not yet tried heavy towing. Good access to rear seat in open areas but a bit difficult in tight parking spots. The fit and finish is absolutely perfect - I have not been able to locate a single flaw.
Favorite Features
Turning radius is much tighter than my F-250 extended cab long bed. Didn't think much about heated seats when I was looking - but they are GREAT. Duramax/Allison combination feels strong, love the ability to pass a gas station.
Suggested Improvements
Would like to see a factory lift - maybe 3-4 inches and larger tires. The 245s look a little small on this truck.
