Although the Silverado Classic is essentially a 2006 Silverado, it remains a solid contender.

Transmissions are smooth and well-tuned, but more power is available from some of the competition.

Excellent seats and driving position, but cabin is on the small side.

Control layout is dated and with too many buttons.

The interior design and execution are showing their age.
