Review
The 4.3 V6 is a total disaster when it comes to engines. No power and poor fuel milage. Hey, I could have gotten a V8! Other than that, it's a nice truck. My wife's Corvette gets to 60MPH in about 4 seconds and tops out at 176 MPH. ON trips, we've gotten as high as 33.5 MPG. Around town, she gets22-27.
Favorite Features
It has a comfortable ride for a truck and nice extra features like a trailer harness and tranny button for pulling a trailer.
Suggested Improvements
Stop selling them with the 4.3 V6, or figure a way to get the thing to run and get better milage.

Review
I bought my truck in May 31 2003 and have put 6000 miles on my truck. The truck runs great, its quiet, and smooth. I got the V8 4.8L option and it gives me all the performance and power I need. Have only had a squeaking door.

The V8 4.8L vortec Eng is awesome on gas mileage and smoothness

Headlight design is not my fav.

Constant engine, transmission problems. Also alot of exhaust noise.

I really am enjoying this pickup. I had a 2002 and several improvements have been made on the 03 model, the new model no longer has vibrating rear doors, the build quality on my LS seems substantially better than the 02, the rear window defroster was a great idea since my 02 would fog up quite easily, the engine (5.3) has plenty of power, the electronic 4X4 works great, the satelite radio is amazing when combined with the Bose system. I test drove the dodge and the ford, I'm not sure why some of the reviews rate them higher than the chev/gmc.

Z71 package, Satelite Radio, duel zone temp control, bucket seats/front console is very well designed, power of the 5.3 V8
Suggested Improvements
change the front grille, incorporate side rail protection as a stock feature, offer a high HP version (something with more power than the SS version to deal with the Hemi and Ford's new 5.4L 3 valve engine).

Nice truck and fun to drive. Lots of options. Rides smooth, you would think your in a Caddy.

Like all the features, Radio is pretty sharp. security system is pretty wild.
Suggested Improvements
Better gas mileage, Replace plastic fan with metal. Hand out better rebate offers. Put a rubber gasket around rear windshield.
