2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT 4dr Extended Cab 8 ft. LB (5.3L 8cyl 6A)
Please be aware that when buying the Silverado Truck that the spare tire is only 17 inch.
So if you buy a truck with 20 inches tires the spare is still only 17.
The dealer will tell you that it is a full spare but it is not the same size as what is on the truck.
Even the trucks with 18 inch tires come with a 17 inch spare.
Tell the consumer the truth when asked about the spare.
Tell them in inches not a full size spare
As this is misleading.
No one could even tell me how long I could drive on the 17 inch spare.
This is still a full size spare. Even though you may have an 18 or a 20 inch wheel the overall circumference of the tire is still the same. A 17 inch Silverado wheel has a 265/70 r17 tire and the 18 inch wheel has a 265/65 r 18 tire. There is no difference in the height of the vehicle off of the ground. It is perfectly safe to drive on the spare for however long you want to, and at whatever speed. Every car company out there does this because there is no point in putting a fancy alloy wheel under the bed of your truck so that it can just rot away.
