2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT2 4dr Crew Cab 4WD 5.8 ft. SB (5.3L 8cyl 4A)
I was quite hesitant to buy American, but my fears have been squelched by the excellent performance of the 2007 Silverado. Going into the purchasing phase, I was planning on buying the Toyota Tundra, but on the test drives, the Silverado simply performed better, had more room, better visibility, and was much more enjoyable to drive.
The suspension and transmission are smooth and perform well. The OnStar and XM gadgetry has also been a plus.
The large frontal air dam is a bit oversized when off-roading, but I did some four wheeling and did not remove it last weekend, and I had enough ground clearance.
