Unlike any other truck on the market, I
find that the Chevy Silverado 1500
extended cab combines the interior
space and comfort of a full size, 4-
door SUV with a full-length extremely
practical pickup bed. Big, roomy fun to
drive, good sounds (music)....very
comfortable and a go getter on the
highway. I find that it gives me a
very good response with a minimal
amount of effort. It just goes. Great
Front Bucket Seats, rear bench, four
doors, vise three, stereo system,
safety features such as running lights,
fog lights; anti lock breaks.
Front grill design should go back to
pre 2003 features. Don't care much
about the bat mobile look in front.
Absolutely love the truck, when first
purchased, had a small squeak on
passenger side rear door, but it went
away. Truck is now very quiet inside.
The 5.3 V-8 has plenty of power to do
anything you will want to, short of
pulling a house off of it's foundation.
(Have to try that some time...hmmm) Very
smooth ride, slightly unstable in a
rolling bumpy turn, but otherwise
perfect. I test drove the Dodge and Ford
and they just could not compare with the
Chevy's features, (heated seats, curb
view assist mirrors, dual climate
control, XM radio, OnStar, etc, etc. I
love this truck.
Lots of power, Styling, and comfort for
The only improvements I can think of
would be maybe a firmer suspension in
the turns and maybe better fuel economy,
I get between 17-20 MPG. But, its a big
truck with a big V-8, what do you expect?
