I LIKE THE INTERIOR ROOM,COMFORT,LOOKS,
RIDE AND ACTUALLY EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS
TRUCK WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE
GRINDING NOISE THE TRANSMISSION MAKES
WHEN THE TORQUE CONVERTER ENGAGES AND
DISENGAGES FROM LOCKUP AT AROUND 42
MPH.THIS DID IT THE DAY I TOOK
DELIVERY,AND HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE
DEALER AND GM FACTORY REP
AS "CHARACTERISTIC" OR "ASPECT" OF
VEHICLES WITH MANUAL TRANSFER
CASES,WITH NO REPAIR POSSIBLE OR
FORTHCOMING. I AM DISSATISFIED WITH
THEIR EXPLAINATION AND HANDLING OF THIS
DEFECT TO THIS POINT AND AM STILL
AWAITING A SATISFACTORY RESOLUTION
BEST LOOKING,RIDING, HANDLING AND MOST
COMFORTABLE OF THE THREE DOMESTIC TRUCK
MANUFACTURERS. 5.3 V8 FUN TO DRIVE.
HAVEN'T OWNED A V8 IN YEARS.VERY QUIET
INTERIOR WITH VERY LITTLE WIND NOISE.
IT REALLY IS LIKE A NICE CAR WITH A
TRUCK BED BEHIND IT.
SOUND QUALITY OF FACTORY AM/FM/CD COULD
USE SOME IMPROVEMENT. GM THUSFAR SEEMS
TO THINK THAT IF A FEW VEHICLES EXHIBIT
A PROBLEM, THEY CAN DEFINE IT AS NORMAL
TO AVOID FIXING IT. MAYBE THEY'LL
SUPRISE ME AND DO THE RIGHT THING
YET.THUSFAR THEY HAVEN'T.
