I really like the chevys this year. They look great and perform even better. Ride comfort is great.

2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Extended Cab 4dr Extended Cab LS 2WD LB (5.3L 8cyl 4A)

Review

I owned a 2001 regular cab silverado, but it did not have enough room, and it was under powered with the 6 cyl. I bought the 2002 extended cab Silverado with the biggest engine and it gets better gas mileage than the 6 cyl. The tires really make a lot of difference. With good tires, the truck drives great. With Goodyear tires, the truck is a safety hazard when it's wet. The worst thing about the interior is the drink holder in the middle of the seat. I would cut it off if I could find a good aftermarket drink holder to take its place. The 2001 Chevy has a better interior design.

Favorite Features

The best feature is the battery rundown protection. The second best feature is that the radio continues to play (after turning off the engine) until the door is opened.

Suggested Improvements

Fix the drink holder position. Add a cargo net for under the extended cab seat. Replace the pocket on the back of the front seats with a garbage bag.

Review

It's ok I guess. Fuel line freezes regardless of amt. of gas in the tank. Gas anti-freeze doesn't even help. Limited slip rear end gets stubborn in cold weather.

Favorite Features

All of the 12v outlets.

Suggested Improvements

Steering wheel mounted controls, (its on the 03 model) Oops, I should have waited 2 months.
