I have a 2001 chevy s10. The security light went on and now the truck won't turn over. There is no "chip" on the key. The service dept at the dealer said to turn it to the start position and leave it for 10 min and it might reset itself. My truck is stranded at work and there are no shops any where near to have it towed to. Any suggestions on how to get the truck going??? Help!!!! Read More...

I have a 2001 chevy s10 4.3 4wd auto, it runs good until it's warmed up, then once it's warm it seems to be not getting any fuel. It sputters and backfires and runs very sluggish, but it's not missin. I've changed the catalyc converter, O2 sensor, fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter. I don't know what else it could possibly be. Its is a Chevy S10 --2001. All fuses are good---under the hood fuse panel and the side fuse panel left of steering. However, to redefine the problem: "Check gauges" light comes on just after car warms up. Reading goes up to max 310 degrees then down again to normal and the "check gauges" light would come on. Here is what I will tell you about my truck - I am on my second S-10 in 5 years. Before you let that scare you let me let you know why I went with a 2nd S-10 after the first had problems? I bought a '95 with 70k on the clock and I should have shopped around more - it was beat to snot when I got it. It was not taken care of hence I had several problems right off the bat. In the past it would shut off or I would disconnect the battery to reset the computer and it would shut off. Trouble with Head/Feat Control

I am having trouble with the Head/Feet control. It is a 2001 Chevy S10 with ZR2 Package. When I go to put the air to blow on my feet, so that all the air comes out the bottom, its as if i never moved the switch. It still comes out the top (face). Also when I try to put it on defrost, nothing happens. It only blows out of the 4 vents that point at my face. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Read More...

Gear specialists; I bought my 2001 S-10 , 4.3 liters on October 2001. Over the years I found that I had to accelerate for a long time before the transmission shifted the gears.
