Erase the code and don't go far to get it checked, it most likely will not set a code. Some day the transmission will over heat and damage the converter and clutches. Read More...

Sounds like a cap/rotor failure or fuel pressure issue. Remove the dist. cap and check for watermarks, wear, or carbon tracking. Replace them if you see a problem. also if your fuel filter has not been changed it would be a good idea, being significantly less than a fuel pump. Bosch and Autolite SUCK in GM ignition systems, so replace with ACDelco unless you like ... Read More...

Ok so this morning I was on my way to work NO PROBLEMS... stopped for gas(shut the truck off)... filled the tank... went to start the truck.. and thats when the problem started... check engine light... 1999 Chevy S-10 PU 4.3 ltr. engine, won't start when wet, once it dries out and the weather clears it will start. We've replaced cap, rotor, plugs, fuel pump and fuel injectors. Check engine code of P0300 (random misfire). Can anyone help this is getting very frustrating! Read More...

I Have a 1999 Chevy S10 4.3 Vortec. I am having a problem starting the truck when it sits for a while. It will crank over for several minutes. Once it starts and i run it, it will start all day with no issues. It only happens when it sits over night. The fuel pump turns on and has been replaced. The plugs, wires, and cap all have been done. I own a 1999 S10 and it rattles very loudly at idle and below 10mph. I found the catalytic converter to be the cause. More specifically, the internals of the converter were "rattling" around inside of it causing the noise. Read More...

If the rattle sounds like it's in the top out side corners of the dash - it might be the hood hinges rattling - these is a TSB on this at least for 2K - 2K2 years .. They add a spring washer in the hinge .. Read More...
