    i have a 1999 chevy s-10 with a 2.2. When i have the car running and no lights on, the day time running lights do not come on. When i turn the lights on no head lights come on. Just the running lights. If i play with the column and put it in drive i can get the running lights on. Anyone have any suggestions???

    i have a 1999 chevrolet s-10 2.2 pickup i have a miss in it i had it scannned it said it was cylinder number 2 i replaced plugs and wires with no change when it is cold it runs ok the more i drive the worse it gets

    I am no expert, but I am sure you cant. I think front wheel drive motors turn oppisite direction than a rear wheel drive motor. Also just for info, look up 3.4 camaro engine swap. Hope this helps.

    Erase the code and don't go far to get it checked, it most likely will not set a code. Some day the transmission will over heat and damage the converter and clutches.

    it has about 110,000. now that i failed inspection because of it, do i need to rebuild trans? do you think there is anything i can do to get it to pass?

    It is for worn out parts in the transmission, yours has to be high mileage.

    Sounds like a cap/rotor failure or fuel pressure issue. Remove the dist. cap and check for watermarks, wear, or carbon tracking. Replace them if you see a problem. also if your fuel filter has not been changed it would be a good idea, being significantly less than a fuel pump. Bosch and Autolite SUCK in GM ignition systems, so replace with ACDelco unless you like changing parts often. You really get ... Read More

    1999 Chevy S-10 PU 4.3 ltr. engine, won't start when wet, once it dries out and the weather clears it will start. We've replaced cap, rotor, plugs, fuel pump and fuel injectors. Check engine code of P0300 (random misfire). Can anyone help this is getting very frustrating!

    I own a 1999 S10 and it rattles very loudly at idle and below 10mph. I found the catalytic converter to be the cause. More specifically, the internals of the converter were "rattling" around inside of it causing the noise.

    If the rattle sounds like it's in the top out side corners of the dash - it might be the hood hinges rattling - these is a TSB on this at least for 2K - 2K2 years .. They add a spring washer in the hinge ..

    Same year S-10, same problem on the Converter and the recline handle. Just happened. A friend told me to change the converter myself. Just bolts on. I also have a driver side door leak probably due to a warped hinge. I;m just glad the thing runs O.K. My Sympathies, Randy

    I have a similar problem with a 1999 Chevrolet Astro, misses on idle, when hot, sounds like a snap (similar to spark gap), but no visible breaks in insulation, I have 75K on engine, appears to be no power loss, just the miss at Idle.
