Coolness Of My '06 Monte LTZ
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LTZ 2dr Coupe (3.9L 6cyl 4A)
Review
What can I say about such a great car that hasn't already been said? It's fun to drive. It turns heads. Not 100% sure about the performance as of yet cause I've not tried it. I also own a 1986 LS Monte I've had for pretty much 10 years and part of the reason I wanted an '06 is cause my two Montes are 20 years apart. So far I've cleaned the car like 200 times and it sets inside under a new car cover most the time. Since I got it, I think I've put 1200 miles on it? I like cleaning the car.
Favorite Features
The dash cluster. Leather heated seats. The 8 speaker, 6 disk CD sterio equipment. Fold down rear seat. Lots of trunk space. Anti-lock brakes. Stand up rear spoiler. The 3.9 under the hood. The accessory door sill covers and exhaust tips I installed, look great.
Suggested Improvements
The door panels could have been of better quality. And the dash lay out. Why isn't there a metal overlay on the pass side of the dash like the driver side has?

Great Car for the Money
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LT 2dr Coupe w/3LT (3.9L 6cyl 4A)
Review
After a year and a half of driving this car, I have mostly good things to say about this car. GM seems to have improved their build quality over the past few years of Monte Carlos. I have had no mechanical problems whatsoever. I love the strong pulling V6, decent gas mileage, and the 8 speaker audio system.
Favorite Features
240 hp V6, MP3/ipod compatible audio system, dual exhaust
Suggested Improvements
Bigger instrument panel

2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 2dr Coupe (5.3L 8cyl 4A)
Review
Excellent front wheel drive performance coupe. I have owned performance coupes since the late 1960's (GTO, Cuda, Olds 442, Road Runner, Trans AM and Malibu SS) and this car reminds me allot of the 1969 GTO Judge I owned - in terms of handling, performance and pure fun to drive. Highly recommended..
Favorite Features
Performance - reliability.

My Monte SS
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 2dr Coupe (5.3L 8cyl 4A)
Review
First of all I picked the Monte Carlo SS because I love driving and around my area there are many winding country roads which makes this car a lot of fun to drive. Softer suspensions are no fun at all on these kinds of roads. The power of this car makes it easy to to pass slower moving traffic and is also quite economical on highways. Even though I am 59 I feel 30 driving this car. It is very comfortable when driving on highways or other smooth road surfaces.I usually change cars every 4 years but I will be keeping this one much longer. This is my best and most fun to drive car I've ever had. Quite a switch from 2 Malibu's in a row to this car.
Favorite Features
My favorite features are #1-the power #2-Onstar #3-hands free phone #4- appearance (get many compliments from many people) #5-dashboard #6-18"wheels help comfort
Suggested Improvements
The most important improvement would be to have the Monte Carlo SS fitted with a variable transmission. Also this car would sell much more than it does if GM advertised it as much as the other cars in its lineup
Love it!

I love the new interior they put in. It's not the same old generic GM interior. The ride is great and there is plenty of power when needed. I love just cruising around town now!

Blind spot on drivers side right behind your head. Makes it tricky for spotting others.
My Monaco
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LT 2dr Coupe w/3LT (3.9L 6cyl 4A)
Review
After driving Dodge trucks for years, this was an amazing transformation. I have always liked Chevrolet and their brand. This is a Luxury Sport Coupe and there are just so few anymore. I like the feel, the performance and the comfort. All this coupled with the mileage, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Oh, and Chevy's after-sale support is awesome!
Favorite Features
Appearance, "out of the gate" performance, information center, independent climate control and the comfortable ride at any speed. When going any speed and I need to move into or out of a situation, this Monaco does it quickly. I push the gas pedal down and the car moves.
Suggested Improvements
Center console is a bit cramped, cup holders to be specific, but this seems to be the trend and oh that tiny glove box. Hey, I am used to trucks though too. I can say I do not miss my truck at all!

Very cheap interior
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LT 2dr Coupe w/3LT (3.9L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I looked at a Monte Carlo because it seemed a lot like a Thunderbird which they don't make anymore. But it is anything but. The main problem I have with this car is the cheap interior. The door panels and dash make a lot of noise when going over bumps. Also the car has a lot of road noise. This car is junk. Stay away!

Make the interior less noisy

Does this car fall under the lemon laws?
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LT 2dr Coupe w/3LT (3.9L 6cyl 4A)
Review
Over the last few years I have always driven Chrysler products and loved them, but when I test drove the Monte Carlo I fell in love with it. Little did I know that every few weeks I would be returning my car to the dealership for some type of repair. The repairs have ranged from the tire monitor sensors to the heated seats and the brakes and also don't let me forget the heating system. I buy brand new cars so I don't have this problem. If this car holds up for the next 2 years I will be getting rid of it and going back to Chrysler products and if someone would offer to buy it right now I would sell it and take my loss if you would even call it a loss. I wouldn't recommend buying this car.

Best Car on the Road
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 2dr Coupe (5.3L 8cyl 4A)
Review
I don't know how many times at the pump or on the road somebody had flagged me down and said good car. This car is fast and handles well. For a two door is quite spacious. The car has a lot of neat features including remote start, DOD, and OnStar. Mustangs can't really keep up with it. I got the SS model with a few less options like sun roof and leather which made my car a couple grand cheaper and more affordable
Favorite Features
I love the the looks of the car, secondly the motor and and the performance.
Suggested Improvements
Have to be careful when flooring it, it will pull on you. Also some window tint would be nice. But I did that my self for $150

My Monte
Vehicle
2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS 2dr Coupe (3.5L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I have owned 3 Monte Carlos. I really like them. My mileage greatly exceeds the advertised mileage at 26.5 local and 33 long distance highway driving. I would buy another in a minute. The back seat is a little hard to get in and out of but I rarely drive with more than 1 passenger.
Favorite Features
Computer odometer, bucket seats, engine power is great.
