Review

I recently purchased a 2004 Monte Carlo due to having bad luck with a Toyota (2 new engines and 1 transmission). I was very pleased first off with how GM was able to get me out of my lease, which still had 2 years on it, and with minor penalties. I have loved this car since I got it. It has a wonderful, smooth ride, and nice acceleration. The gas mileage isn't bad, but I am used to a 4- cylinder. I was also very pleased with the way it handles on snow, I felt so secure and safe. I would recommend this car to anyone, it is over all a great car for anyone single to a midsized family.

Favorite Features

My overall favorite feature is the suspension. Also the dependability and feeling of being safe. It also has a good sound system.

Vary fun car to drive. Handles well, plenty of front seat room. Back seat difficult to get into. Looks really good but on mine any how the paint is too soft. Scratches vary easily even when washing. Power is more then sufficient. Great acceleration but tire spin is a problem even with the ESR.

Favorite Features

XM radio, Super Charger, Easy access radio controls, over all design of the car, The wide tires (at least till time to replace them)

Suggested Improvements

A layer of plain clear cote on paint, Rear wheel drive, V8

My Monte Carlo

Review

I bought my Monte Carlo in November 2003. So far the car has performed beautifully.It rides very smooth, the pick up is great and the fuel milage I get is about 28 on the highway and 24 in the city. The interior has a little to be desired the leather is not soft it looks like vinyl, the seats are not as comfortable as I would like them to be but then I was used to driving a Eldorado. But to compare the two I think other than the interior the syle and drive of the two vehicles are about the same except for about $25000.00 cheaper. I would recommend the Monte Carlo anytime.

Favorite Features

My favorite features are the fuel economy especially with the price of gas now 28-30 on the highway. The style is real pretty I like a sporty car.

Suggested Improvements

I would suggest a more comfortable seat and a little nicer leather (softer). Plus they should put airbags on the passenger side unless the passenger isn't as important to them as the driver is.

Ignore what the "experts" write. This car is a GREAT value, with a large comfortable interior [I'm 6'2"], quiet ride, satisfactory acceleration/ performance [not as if I'm drag racing on I-95 too often], and plenty of creature comforts [I particularly appreciate the on-the-wheel stereo and cruise controls]. Obviously, styling is a personal preference, but I think the car looks sharp outside AND especially inside. My only significant complaint is the rattles that the service department has not solved. I STILL ENJOY GETTING INTO AND DRIVING MY CAR EVERY TIME.

Favorite Features

Many. On the steering wheel stereo/ cruise controls. Very comfortable interior, very quiet ride. Good acceleration. Interesting stereo with decent sound and a lot of features [most of which I don't use, but someone else might.] Large trunk with hinges that don't take up space.

Suggested Improvements

Get rid of the rattles, smooth out some of the edges on the plastic dash.

Fast and Fun Car

I have the Dale Earnhardt edition monte carlo and I am very pleased with it. The car is extrememly fast and very fun to drive. I recommend this car to anyone who wants to have fun.

Favorite Features

I love the supercharger on the car, the 17 inch chrome wheels are nice also. The design of the body is really sporty. When you sit in the seat you feel like you're in a racecar.

Suggested Improvements

I think Chevrolet should offer this car in a 6 speed manual transmission and also make it rear wheel drive.

Review

Had a 2001 monte SS, and moved up to the 2004 supercharger. This is an excellent long term vehicle. It has all the options, and comforts. Beautiful lines, and excellent handling. A perfect car to hand down to my son, in 5 yrs, for his first car.

Favorite Features

Love the interior and exterior features. I really love the look and feel of the body, and styling. Handles well with 'adequate' performance.

Suggested Improvements

I was very hopeful that the supercharger would put this one over the edge, but it just falls short. Maybe the next version with V8, will do the trick.

I have purchased a Monte Carlo SS Supercharged with everything possible on it. It's a great car and I love it so much I won't even let the wifey drive it! Fast, solid, and drives like a dream.

Favorite Features

XM Radio, Sun roof, and the supercharger.

Suggested Improvements

Improve the dash and get away from so much plastic. I bought a black one and the headliner should be black as well not the grey that it came with

Review

Purchased our 2003 Monte Carlo LS in Oct 03. We drive it as our pleasure vehicle and does not get driven much on the year, but when we take out on Sundays for joy rides especially with our added Road Warior Feathered Graphic Kit on the sides we definetly get heads to look when we go by. The Monte Carlo is built very sturdy and we plan on keeping it a very long time. Rick stpman

Favorite Features

We love the cruise control feature on the steering wheel and the room of the interior with the dash board design.

Suggested Improvements

We added tinted window to the rear and side windows and also addes a full side feathered graphic kit to the exterior. I plan on adding some front bottom fog lights to finish the car out.

I've owned 'vettes and IROCS. This LS2 is primo. I'm 53,and an SS is just a little too much for me. WOW!,what the acceleration, and excitment must be.
