Review

Read in consumer reports the car is unreliable. Couldn't disagree more. Bought it new, 8 Chicago winters, 140,000 miles and still kicking. Still get compliments. Is expensive to maintain given the tech in the engine. Only had one major problem when belt tensioner seized up and threw belt so watch it. Otherwise has been out of shop except for maintenance.

Favorite Features

Nice interior, great handling and good power from motor. Big trunk and no rust yet.

Suggested Improvements

Exterior styling, added spoiler to mine which fixed it right up. Needs better rims.

I love this car. Good power for the engine size and decent gas mileage. Also the interior is one the most comfortable I have ever sat in. I drive 40 miles one way to work every day and this car for the most part has been very reliable. The only problems have been a few burned out interior lights and a replacement muffler. She has 139000 miles on the odometer and still runs like new.

Style (a real looker) interior ergonomics fairly decent factory sound. Power options

Great Car, but high $$$ to repair

Review

This was a wonderful first car for me. You'll definately turn a few heads in it. I bought it used with 90,000 miles on it, and it now has 132,000. It still looks great inside and out. The leather interior and just the get-up- and-go of this car is fantastic.

Favorite Features

Leather seats, all power, very roomy, has a lot of power and zoom!

Suggested Improvements

Because the Z34 motor is so difficult to work on, the cost of repairs is outrageous, and I wish the gas milage was better.

Review

Underpowered Excessive engine maitenance, e.g. at 65,000 miles new intake manifold gasket was required due to excessive oil consumption. Cost $450 Coolant leaks, rear freeze plug needs to be replaced Cost $125 All six ingnition coils and wires replaced at 60,000 miles. Cost $250? On a scale of 1 to 10 this vehicle is a 5 because of maintenance issues.

Suggested Improvements

Hopefuly newer models have improved on the engine ignition life as well as numerous engine gaskets which fail much too early.

Review

I had the MC for over 5 years now and I am sad to say that it is on it's way to the salvage yard tomorrow because of an unfortunate accident through no fault of the Monte. I could avoid any accident in that car because of the superior handling and road hugging. But there's not much you can do when the car is hit while it's parked. It has 127000+ miles on it and it still ran like new. No rattles or vibrations. I have only had to regular maintenance and never had any other problems with it. I was also happy with power, considering the engine size and good gas mileage. All in all, it was a great car and I will miss it.

Too many to name.

Suggested Improvements

very few improvements needed, plastic hinges on console broke, power door lock on drivers door broke. That's it.

This has been nothing but a good car. I have never had any really major problems yet. Its a good looking car, its fast, and its a Chevy!

My favorite feature is the exterior of the car its just an all around good looking car.

The interior in the Z-34s should come standard with a CD player and leather seats

Great looks inside and out, (and gets plenty of looks 2)lotts of get up and go in the Z34 pkg..Handles very well in the winter and rain Only one cup holder is my biggest problem with this SWEET Machine

split Fold down rear seat and a lotts of trunk space... And dont forget the get up and go, 16" wheels And still isnt bad on gas, Great comfort on the long road.

Suggested Improvements

My passengers wish they had a place for their smoothies (Need a 2nd cup holder)
