Great buying experience, went into dealership with my bottomline price including taxes and title, based on Edmunds and KBB sites and dealer had no problems..fully loaded LT with all options off the lot for $24K total price. 1600 miles on the car in two months and no problems...good combination of highway and city driving, very responsive on the interstate, great gas mileage 31 MPG at 70MPH with the AC on
Favorite Features
I enjoy the ride as I do a lot of highway miles..traded in a 99 Mustang GT. Enjoy the cargo space with the fold down seats, center console entertainement system with XM radio, and fully adjustable driver seat.

I bought my car on March 31st. I took it to Florida 2 days later. It was one of the most enjoyable and comfortable rides I ever had. The car handles wonderfully, the ease of use for the cruise control is a nice feature. The information center gives me all the info I need while traveling. It was a pleasure to drive. Everywhere I went, I was stopped by folks inquiring about my new car.
Favorite Features
I like the hatchback feature the best, because it lets me load all my equipment in and still leaves me room for more storage.
Suggested Improvements
Make a small holder for cell phone, change and pens or pencils in the console, near the stick shift. There is no place to conveniently hook on a phone.

This is a very peppy car with the 3.5L 6 cycle engine, you step on the gas and it means business. Comfortable driving with all the buttons at your fingertips.
Favorite Features
DThe heated seats and the info center on the dash. the fuel economy will teach you how to drive more efficently to get the best fuel economy especially with the high rates of gas today. I have 2200 miles and getting 32 mpg on the average (85% highway)
Suggested Improvements
More cargo space. Cannot get 2 sets of golf clubs in the back. The headrest are unconfortable; I am 5'3" and like to rest my head when riding and I cannot get them in a comfortable position.

Just wanted to let people know that I was not going to purchase this car because of the front headrest being so far forward until I realized that the back headrests don't reach as far forward. I just switched the front and the rear headrests and the problem was solved. Hope this idea helps others out. Too few miles to review the rest of the car.
Favorite Features
Love all the features for the price.
Suggested Improvements
Put the driver information center somewhere other than incorporated into the radio. It makes it impossible to put in a non-factory radio and still keep your "warning lights" as far as I can tell.
New Chev Maxx

2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LS 4dr Hatchback (3.5L 6cyl 4A)
Review
I was going to buy a Chevrolet Impala but after seeing the Malibu Maxx I changed my mind. I had previously owned a Chev Tahoe and wanted to get something smaller. When I saw the Malibu Maxx it was what I wanted. With the hatchback/wagon style of the Maxx it gives me all the room I need, especially with the folding front and rear seats.
Favorite Features
I like the safety features with the side/curtain airbags. My 2year old especially likes the skylights in the back seat. He also likes the front seat down so he can see out the front window.
Suggested Improvements
There should be additional choices for the interiors on the cars. With a small child I was hesitant on the tan interior.

Happy to the Maxx

Got the loaded LT Maxx. I feel the car gives much more value for the money than anything alse in the class both in features and performance. The styling won't turn any heads but the interior is top notch and the flexibility great. The car came with no defects and the dealership was great in getting the Onstar and XM radio set up.
Favorite Features
Remote start with front and backup lights illuminating the way at night. Rear seat slide and recline. Steering wheel audio control. Sound system with 6 disc cd and XM radio. Heated seats and mirrors. Auto dimming mirror. Quiet ride.
Suggested Improvements
An additional interior color option. My chosen gray with brushed metal interior is Ok but the neutral with fake wood trim looks entry level. The electric steering is a little quirky and takes some getting used to. About 40 more HP to the V6.

When I 1st saw the Maxx at the Auto Show, I thought it was intriguing but I never thought Id own a Chevy. After 600+ miles (since my 20-mile review), my opinion has only improved. The car is very cute appearance-wise. Gas mileage is decent: 24 mpg (driving almost exclusively on suburban surface streets). The easy handling is growing on me. The car does a good job of shutting out road noise and has a very smooth ride. The doors and hatch need to be closed with a bit of force, though. The die-hard sports-car aficionados I know turn up their noses at my car, but people who appreciate fun, comfort, and convenience love it!
Favorite Features
I didnt think I would use the remote start, but a recent cold snap has made me appreciate it. I like the Onstar personal calling. XM is neat. I love the open feeling a hatchback gives to the passenger compartment, but miss the view I had with my Firebird (less rear glass on the Maxx)
Suggested Improvements
Last time I listed "dream" features I like on other cars(night vision, etc). Realistically, the headrests need improvement (doesn't bother me but drives others crazy). After 9 yrs with my Firebird, I expect to keep this one for a while as well, but an AWD SS might make me buy sooner!
