Sure vinpro. Ally's current base lease rate and residual value for a 24-month lease of a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LS with 15,000 miles per year are 1.0% and 54%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36-month lease are 1.1% and 43%. GM is currently providing a $4,250 cash incentive on 2-year and $4,000 on 3-year leases of this car through Ally. I also test drove ten new 2012 mid sized cars in late Feb & early Mar before settling on a Camry XLE. Close runner ups were Sub Legacy, Passat TDI diesel (can't get 'em especially premium models 4-6 mon wait) and here too the Optima EX w/premium pkg were flying off the lot (drove one once, it fit the bill despite a smaller interior but they never could get another one ... Compared to the current Malibu it "looks" much bigger, closer in size to the Impala than the 2012. Interesting... If I remember the specs at Edmunds' correctly, 2013 is 3 or 4 inches wider than 2012 but not bigger in any other respect, and they (Edmunds.com) introduce the upcoming model this way: ... Dwayne, I saw the 2013 Malibu at the New England auto show yesterday. Compared to the current Malibu it "looks" much bigger, closer in size to the Impala than the 2012. Standing side-by-side to the 2012 the 2013 Malibu looks like a genuine mid-size car compared to the compact like size of the current Malibu. Is it too early to begin discussing the new Malibu? Motor Trend has a review in its September issue and yesterday I saw a 2013 Malibu on the streets of Boston. It looks nice but anonymous, perhaps too much of a Camry clone. Nothing like the impact of the 2008 - 2012 Malibu. I know change is inevitable but in this case it is not for the better.

Why did you buy a Malibu in the first place if your Toyota was satisfactory? Most Toyota owners I know are totally dedicated to the brand and the last thing they would buy would be a Chevy. Good Morning: Here are the issues: 1.) My 2007 XLE V6 Toyota Camry easily gets 30mpg at 60mph, (on the highway), and in the process has outstanding performance. 2.) The 3.9 Chevrolet engine is NOT a flex-fuel engine, and it does not come close to the mileage of the Camry 3.)
