I purchased a a Malibu in the fall and I am very disappointed in the gas mileage, I drive mainly on the highway and only receive around 24 to 25 miles per gallon.
I purchase this vehicle for the good gas mileage and chevy isn't standing behind their advertisements of 23 city to 33 highway.
We have always purchase chevys but since they don't stand behind their products, our next purchases will not be a chevy.
Very disappointed in how we have been treated. From the main office well you are in the range "sorry"
I bought the Malibu LT 2.4 in Jan 2011.
I like every thing about the car but the gas mileage is a disappointment.
I get 16 to 18 around town.
Recently took a 300 mile trip and got 29 which is not to bad.
My 2001 Silverado truck with the 5.3 V8 gets about 2 or 3 mpg less than the Malibu around town.
The 2005 Montecarlo I had
with the 3.4 V6 got better mileage.
