Re: bvdj84 [bvdj84]

Here's a perspective from a long-time BMW driver (I'm now driving my 14th BMW and have owned every model that they've produced since the early 1990s.) I purchased a 2009 Malibu LT2 V-6 in May as a commuter car. I am extremely impressed with the vehicle and I genuinely enjoy driving it. After incentives, the Malibu sold for just over $21k plus tax and tags. I comparison ... Read More...

Re: bvdj84 [wayne52]

To sum up your post (I think), GM = making great strides, Honyota = marking time at best. I agree completely. I don't personally feel that the Accord got any better with the current generation over the previous one. The problem for GM there is/was that the Malibu was easily a couple of generations behind quality-wise, so even though it improved drastically from ... Read More...

Re: just recieved internet quote for 2009 malibu LS [steven39]

Those prices aren't that good. I am seeing LS, LT and LT1 trims sell for about $2,500 to $3,000 below MSRP, but the kicker is that I have a friend who works at a dealership (that sells Chevy among three other brands), and he's told me sales have literally tanked in the last two weeks as people await GM's bankruptcy filing tomorrow. No one knows how the act of filing is ... Read More...

Re: Prices Paid for Malibu [jay137]

Well, if you want some real numbers, check out Quality Chevy of Escondido near where I live (In northern San Diego County)... They have a brand new 2009 Chevy Malibu HYBRID 1HY available at only $25695 plus a $1500 total cash back allowance! That's a pretty sweet deal compared to all these other numbers being thrown around. And you can even give them a call just to ... Read More...

Need pricing help ASAP!

This afternoon I am meeting with my salesman to discuss numbers & I could use some help, as this is my 1st time negotiating a car. I have a pretty good background in crunching numbers because I am a senior in college with a double major in accounting and finance. 2009 Chevy Malibu LT2 w/a V6. It already has around 1,100 miles on it because it is a demo. The salesman hasn't ... Read More...

Re: Paying extra for what? [deltheking]

KBB: Chevrolet's Malibu has bolted from middle-of-the-road contender straight to the top of the mid-size sedan game. The 2009 Malibu looks wonderful, is solidly built and carefully crafted inside and out, offers good fuel economy, drives wonderfully and is priced to sell in serious volumes. The 2009 Chevrolet Malibu's bold, attractive sheetmetal and stylish ... Read More...
