I have 130,000 mioles on my car and
I've only replaced an altenator and
wheel bearings. She lacks power but
once she gets up to speed she can hang
with the best. She's never left me on
the side of the road and I definitely
do an exceedingly amount of highway
driving. Even now I won't hesitate to
take her on a road trip.
I would say the only complaints I have
is with the brakes. They don't last
like I think that they should and they
aren't big enough.
My favorite features are the interior
room, the trunk space, and the tire
I would suggest larger brakes or
putting discs in the rear. A more
reliable heat and A/C control. Last
but not least I think there shouldn't
a engine in this car that is less than
A lot of same complaints. Replaced
brakes, pads & rotors 4 times in 80K.
Wiper arm broke of during use.
Manifold gasket leaked coolant into
engine. Control arms replaced.
Replaced right wheel hub bearings -
left ones going bad. Air conditioning
switch only worked on 3. ABS light
came on for no reason. Sunroof went
offtrack twice. Traded for a Honda
when the onboard computer failed. Had
enough of dumping money into the car!
Standard "aging" repairs, no problem.
Major repairs over & over - problem.
Problems always met with silence by
dealer. Will never buy a GM product
Picked up and cornered well.
Start over. Admit to quality defects
and rectify the problem for consumers.
This car was beautiful to look at; it
drove well at first. THe PROBLEMS:
electrical system problem; brakes;
power windows; the car overheated ---
and with the
electrical system acting weird gauges
did not work the car ran
hot rebuild the manifold;
fam jerryrigged so
it would not run hot again; replace
Enjoyed the way the car handled.
Stop making this car, it needs too many
engine improvements and quality system
improvements to use this model. Too
bad, the old Malibus (I had one of
them) were great.
