2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LS 4dr Hatchback (3.5L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Excellent car with a lot of space, a good look and good performance for the price. A lot of persons said to me that they will consider a Maxx for their next car. No problem except traveling computer, but it was fixed now. I changed the tires for 4 Michelin Hydroedge and the car became more sporty to drive.

Best Features

The hatchback and the cavernous space behind me. And the special look of the car.

Worst Features

Tires, and isolation from the road

2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LS 4dr Hatchback (3.5L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Good handling, good pep, good brakes, very versatile. Good gas mileage. Traded an Avalanche truck for the Maxx. Was tired of 11 mpg in city. If this car is as reliable as my Avalanche truck I will be very satisfied!

Best Features

Adjustable pedals. Telescoping wheel. Side canopy air bags. Six way power seat, back seat travel

Worst Features

Need self dimming rear view mirror. Rear moon roof is useless. Lumbar for passenger seat. Vanity light on passenger side. Beef up plastic hinges throughout

2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LS 4dr Hatchback (3.5L 6cyl 4A)

Review

The day we pick up the car the factory remote starter does'nt work , then the sales men kills the battery try to get it work, then on the third day of owning this lemon (365 km on it ) the transmission starts to act up.(it would'nt go into gear.) And now less then a month later the starter is acting up.

Best Features

Its a nice looking car and has lots of room on the inside.

2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LT 4dr Hatchback (3.5L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Just recently bought this vehicle, however had the opportunity to rent a couple for work travel. Good fuel economy, smooth transmission movement. It can get out of it's own way, but not at breakneck speed. A real good family car.

Best Features

The rear sun roof is cute, engine is peppy and smooth, it is pretty quiet considering it is a medium priced car, available XM radio was a God send

Worst Features

Although I like the color of my car (dark silver metallic)I think some of the flashier colors available on the Monte Carlo would be nice for this car

2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx LS 4dr Hatchback (3.5L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Very pleased with highway mpg -- 34.6 at 70 mph. City mpg about what I expected, 22.0 mpg. Tight body, doors, etc., means quiet ride. Remote start feature is a pro in summer heat, and will be helpful in the winter, also. Handling is good, very responsive to demands on the road -- passing, entering freeway traffic, braking.

Best Features

Remote start Power adjustable pedals Side curtain airbags

Worst Features

Move rear window controls (wipe, wash, defrost) to more accesible area on dash or console. Difficult to manage without taking eyes from the road -- UNSAFE.
