My headlights are not operating on my 1997 Chevy Lumina yet the bulbs and fuse are fine. This occurred 6 months ago for one day and has been operating fine ever since. The problem reoccurred yesterday and I have no idea what else to check to rectify the problem. Please advise Thank-you

I was parking my 1997 Chevy Lumina yesterday, when it suddenly lurched forward. It sounded like the engine revved up and it shot forward. Everyone thinks I must have pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, but I'm convinced that's not the case. My local mechanic could not find anything. Do you have any ideas we could pursue?
Hey- I recently bought a 1997 Chevy Lumina Sedan and I love it!!! The simple and stupid question of mine is How the heck do I change the headlights. I got the right low beams from Wal-Mart yesterday and I was trying to pull the headlights out (I do have the manual and did it like it said) but it just didn't work. I just can't get them out. Another question ... Read More
I recently replaced a burned out low beam headlight bulb in my 1997 Lumina with a new 9006 bulb. Now my DRL's don't work in the daytime. The evening lights still come on by themselves. I checked the 10amp fuse in the dash and it was fine. I called the local Chevy dealer and spoke to the parts guy. He said he had no idea what the problem was either. Any ... Read More

I own a 1997 Chevy Lumina 3.1 V-6, standard sedan. I have owned it since January of 1999. I bought it from a dealer with only one other owner of the vehicle. I had problems with the day running lamps from the beginning. That, however, is not the problem. In March, the original battery in the car went dead. Went to Sam's Club, bought a Champion, fine until July 20th. Had ... Read More

I bought a 1997 Chevy Lumina used and just bought some keyless remote off of ebay. The car came in one keyless remote. Does anyone know how to program them? (I would rather not give the dealer $40 bucks for 5 mins. worth of work)

Hey there NASCAR, had a 1998 Lumina LTZ for a three year lease commencing in Aug of 1997. Over all, it was a great car. Mine had the 3.8 V6 and was loaded and was super reliable. Jump at the chance to get one if it's still available. The leather seat padding was a bit too thin for my liking however. But, that was basically the only problem. Was looking to ... Read More

Hi there. I was wondering. I have a 1997 Chevy Lumina with a 3.1 V-6. Has anyone had any problems related to the maroon/burgundy paint on the Lumina's? And has anyone had any problems with their Daylights? I have had mine rewired I know 3 times at the dealer (or at least they say they did), it's been in numerous times for blown fuses regarding the daylights and blown fuses that ... Read More

I just traded a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina with 62000 miles on it for a 1997 Nissan 200SX. I just wanted to add that no matter what you see in these postings, always do a lemon check on a vehicle before you buy one. I found out my Lumina was traded 5 times in 3 years, it was in a serious accident, when I got rid of it the door panels, front ... Read More
