  Ok so i got the power steering pump put in but i guess it only came with one screw and it needed three so my belt came off. Now i am wondering if i need to buy a new pump or if i can just get the screws and serpentine belt?

  I need to find an abs module for my 2000 Chevy Lumina. I found one on ebay that says it fits 1996-2000 Lumina Car Assembly; except. option 9C3 and option 9C6. My problem is that I don't know where to find out what option codes my vehicle has. Can anyone help? - my vin# is 2g1wl52j5y1137349. Thank you.

  Is the coolant green or red? I believe GM did not switch to Dexcool (red coolant) until 1996. Dexcool has been the subject of many complaints. I would get the flush and new coolant. If the leak problems persist (oil and coolant), I would get an oil analysis to make sure the coolant is not leaking into the oil. This would cause major engine damage.   Don't mean too burst your bubble but it has problems. the transmission has problems at times, they also have a problem with the valves{ lifters } tapping, if you have the 3.1 Lt v6 motor.

  We now only have a little over 62,000 miles on our 1996 Lumina bought new in April, 1996. Only repair outside of regular scheduled maintenance, has been a rebuilt alternator at around 40,000 miles. Just recently put a new set of tires on at 57,000 miles. Went with the Firestone FR680 radials and after 5,000 miles so far, they seem like an excellent tire for this mid-sized sedan.   Today I was talking to a guy who said that the electric fuel pump in the gas tank of his his Chevy Suburban failed because he frequently let his fuel level come close to empty. Is this an issue on a 1996 Chevy Lumina ???
