I loved this van, but the temperature
gauge started going up, so I brought it
to a reputable garage, and they told me
there were metal filings and antifreeze
in the oil and that it needed a new
engine. It only had 117,000 miles on
it. Because of the design, which makes
access to the engine very difficult, it
would cost $3000 to repair.
I had the same problem with mine too, except I only had 78,000 miles on mine.
Kept it in mint shape in and out, but couldn't get a quote under $3500 whether I rebuilt or replaced.
Had to junk it.
Had always liked luminas before that - even owned two others before it which each got well over 150,000miles before reselling - thought I had another gem... guess it was a lemon.
