2012 Chevrolet Impala LTZ 4dr Sedan (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
If your in the market for great car for the money, check out the Impala. I bought my 2012 used with 30,000 miles on it and have no regrets. I use the car for my daily commute and average 22 to 24 mpg's in mixed driving. I have hit 32 on the highway, not bad for a car of this size with a 300 horse v6 under the hood. There are 4 cylinder econo boxes that won't give you that. I have the LTZ with full leather seating surfaces, power everything, heated seats and bose sound system. All this for 14 grand. The car does not have a touch screen infotainment system and I really don't need it. Found this car in a ad, scheduled a test drive and bought the car same night. I have now put 20,000 miles on it and only needed to put four tires on it and four oil changes. The more I drive it the more I like it.
2012 Chevrolet Impala LT Fleet 4dr Sedan (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
This car has blind spots. If you are shorter and need to move the seat forward for driving the headrest on the both the passenger and driver make it difficult for lane changes. The mirrors out need to be redesigned because you can't see when a car is in the lane next you when it is between the rear of your car and the back door. I have purchased addition mirrors to help with these problems because I nearly caused two accidents because of poor visibility. Other than that I love the car.
2012 Chevrolet Impala LS Fleet 4dr Sedan (3.6L 6cyl 6A)
I had a 2000 impala which was flawless and now I bought me a 2012 white ls fleet..and I must say it is the most comfortable car I have driven in my LIFE..and iv always loved the impala no matter what other pplz opinions may be about them..the exterior and interior are fine with me no complaints hear..I enjoy the 2012 impala and if you have never tooken one on a test drive..i suggest you do that..and you will see why most of us Chevy owner's love em so much..
Interior, body Space comfortable seats 300 HP engine duel-zone sound system...just about everything!!
The interior is cheap yes. But so are other cars. I can look past that due to the car being reliable. One thing I did notice is the transmission. I like that it cruises at 2k at 80. But for one, it hesitates and gear hunts. I also believe the gears to be too tall. Of course it is a huge improvement over the old impala with the 4 speed. But usually in a v6 you should not have to even cross 2.5 rpms on the tachometer before going to second gear. This car takes off like a four cylinder on an incline, and it is not lively until higher speeds are achieved. It is not bad but not good. Hopefully the newer ones are better
Cruising is its specialty
Engine noise is quiet
The transmission is gear hunting excessively, and it really needs shorter gearing with a tall 6th gear.
Interior and mirrors need updating. Cheap and visibility is difficult with small side mirrors.
Feels like driving a boat. tighter suspension preferred
car is very unresponsive when you take off, hesitates to move. I thought it was just the trans but even the electronics such as fan controls are sluggish. took it in, they say its ok . if all impalas are like this & it keeps getting good reviews what does it say about buyer revues. The car would be car of the year if it wasn't for the 6 speed trans & heating controls, who ever passed that should be fired
comfort although the power seat is already loose
hold car engineers accountable for new designs. why through out a proven design. I can't be the only one who thinks GM dropped the ball on these tremendously bad features.
Make GM head's drive their cars for more than 1 year so they can see the reliability after the warrantee expires
