I've been to 3 different shops including Chevy who told me that it had something to do with the brakes and a hub and low pressure cap, they charged me 1500.00 for all that. ... Read More

Good luck. I also have a 2010 Impala that I just purchased 2 months ago and I have the same issue. Stable light traction light comes on and then reduce engine power goes on. The engine light stays on solid for a few drives cycles. It is scary. I also just had a major transmission repair which GM did cover undr warranty. However, I have had the car in the shop ... Hi, wanted to ask you managed to get any resolution to your problem, with car shaking? Thanx, Alex.
I'm in the same boat. I figured they would have gotten this fixed by now. I owned a 2005 Impala and it did the same thing. They said it was air back then, and fixed it, but it came back after awhile. I traded the car. Now I have a 2010 Impala, and it is doing the same thing. I read about the coolant being low, so I just went out ... Read More

I am wondering if anybody is having problems with gas mileage for their 2010 Impala. I checked my mileage today. Am getting 13.8 mpg. very dissapointing. I took the car in a few days ago to my Chevy dealer. They scanned everything and said all is to factory specifications.
Incase someone was in the market for a new GM/Chevy product, I wanted to share some info for you to read before you buy. I bought a new 2010 Impala LTZ a few months ago. I have 6,000 miles on it now. The SS will use the 7.0 LS7 corvette engine matched to a six speed transmission. GM will use ZETA architecture for the platform, same as the Camero's. The future of this vehicle has caused an ... Yes the Impala for 2010 was to be built on the same platform as the new 2010 Camero , it to was to be rear wheel drive sharing the same drivetrain. There hasn't been any news if a redesigned Impala will happen, they need to do something as the 2008 Malibu has stolen fifty percent of their sales. You make it sound as though Stabilitrak was added to address an alleged handling problem with the Impala. It is not just the SS models, or only the Impala, that received standard Stabilitrak for 2008. GM has added it as standard equipment on many of the 2008 models. If the handling of the car was truly that dangerous in the snow, Chevrolet would either be voluntarily recalling all Impalas to address ... Read More

I agree; stretching the earlier Impala from 2000-2005 seemed long to me, so with the new one running 2006-2010 or 2011 is comparable I guess. But one thing they did correctly on the 2000-2005 version was they introduced the car with just the base and LS trim levels, and then rolled out the SS a few years later, so there was always something coming down the pike that kept the car ... The 2008 Impala is already posted on Chevy's website and it is the same as the 06-07 except for some changes to the trimlines and options and prices. I can't imagine Chevy would do a 2008 run and then make changes within 6 months. I beg to differ. RWD is all the "thing" right now due to the Chrysler 300, but when I was growing up it was a disaster; I spun out two RWD cars (a '60's Impala, ironically enough, and a late '80s BMW) so I am very greatful for FWD. The exterior mirrors on the 00-05 Impalas are just right. These low cut mirrors on the 06 I believe were designed for less wind resistance and more of a sleeker look, however I don't like them. Too small. I doubt they can do much with the rear foot/leg room. That would be a major interior change. Some of these changes might occur on the 08 model, maybe a basic nav system, ... Read More

You aren't talking to the same folks that I am :-) Yes, there are rumors of a new large RWD sedan for Chevy, but we are not talking until 2010-2011 at the earliest. Whether or not this is named Impala or (more likely) Caprice, is yet to be determined... at today's GM, nothing is set in stone until you see the show car (look what happened to Zeta)... --Robert

You won't see a RWD Impala before 2010, if ever. The 2006 Impala will continue to use the FWD W body platform, but will be restyled and use a 200 hp 3.5L V6 (from the Malibu) or a 240 hp 3.9L V6 with displacement on demand and variable valve timing. You may see a RWD Chevrolet coupe around 2009.
