Re: Dual Mufflers 2009 Chevy Impala LTZ [bill217]
You can upgrade to some after market stainless steel mufflers, they look like jewels compared to the factory ones. Instead of hiding them just show them off. Read More...
Dual Mufflers 2009 Chevy Impala LTZ
How can I best hide the appearance of the dual mufflers as one views from the rear of the car? Some have told me to have them painted black. Others have said to put on a rear air dam. The rear end of the car seems to tilt upward and to me the mufflers are an ugly sight. Read More...

Re: 2007 IMPALA SS HANDLING PROBLEM [ryster]
> I'm taking it in on Monday for Chevy to take a look. I was getting the impression from you that I HEAL and TOE my way to work. I don't but I do like V8's. Since I haven't driven a 6cyln, I don't know how it feels. Frontal traction is good in the snow but as it's pulling at safe speeds, the backend moves around when the road is not that bad as far as snow coverage. Ever seen a ... Read More...
Re: 2007 IMPALA SS HANDLING PROBLEM [zedo6]
I have a 2006 Impala 2LT with the 3.5L V6...no ABS...no traction control. My car is perfectly stable in the snow. I still have the OEM Goodyear Integrity all-season tires on it and even with over 21,000 miles on them the car had no issues in our last snowstorm (2"-3" on untreated roads). My car is actually better handling in snow than it is in a rainstorm. The Federal ... Read More...

2009 Impala 3.9L LTZ MPG
I'm considering a 3.9L 2009 Impala LTZ but I haven't seen too much on what real world drivers are experiencing with the newer (2007-2009) vehicles. Can anyone share their mileage experience in city, mixed and highway (don't forget speeds) for this car equipped with the 3.9L. I'm also curious about your experience and thoughts on Chevy's Active Fuel Management ... Read More...

Re: Sr. Citizen Questions On Possible New Impala [bobr14]
"Hello all, Sr. Citizen now (sure does sneak up on you) and need a new car. Presently driving a '97 Buick LeSabre which have really liked. Lots of little problems over the years, but nothing major. Time for something new, though. Prefer a "larger" car. My number one priority, by far, is reliability. It is hard for me anymore to spend the better part of the day in a service ... Read More...
Re: 2-Way Advanced Remote Start [thatism]
"The Impala brochure mentions the "2-Way Advanced Remote Start" as being a dealer installed option with "late availability". I've contacted GM and here is their reply. "The two-way remote start system, or the Advanced Remote Start System (ARSS), is a new technology that has a convenient display screen that shows the vehicles current status (locked or remote-start ... Top 10 Losers: Non-Luxury Sedans, Wagons and Hatchbacks (Current Models) What I found appears to be the amount of "lot time" a car has, although the site wasn't clear.
