2005 Chevrolet Impala Sedan LS 4dr Sedan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)

Review

After driving BMW's for years (11 cars), I was pleasantly surprised at the drivability of this car. While not quite up to the BMW, it is very close. The two big differences are the build quality and the price. Dollar for dollar the Impala is a much better value as the comparable BMW costs 2&1/2 times as much.

Favorite Features

Touring Suspension. Programable features to personal taste. On Star.

Suggested Improvements

Climate Control & Seat Memory.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Sedan SS Supercharged 4dr Sedan (3.8L 6cyl S/C 4A)

Review

The Impala is a good value for the money. I got the SS model because of the supercharged engine and sportier exterior features. With the wheels and SS spoiler, the car really is an improvement over the base and LS models in the looks department. There is a lot of interior room for the size of the car. Fit and finish are great, this car is put together very nicely. I like the additional gauges you get with the SS vs. the other models (boost, etc.).

Favorite Features

Lots of interior room. Sporty looks with the SS package. Gets good mileage for a big car. Build quality is great.

Suggested Improvements

Lose the DRL's, or at least let me disable them. You can only get gray interior - why can't I get tan or black? The interior design and layout need improvement. It has power seats, but the seat back adjustment is still manual - strange. Steering wheel is too big.

2005 Chevrolet Impala Sedan 4dr Sedan (3.4L 6cyl 4A)

Review

I have only had this car for a very short time. I bought this car for my wife. I driven it a few times. This car drives very well handles good in the snow. Gas mileage is pretty good I hade to take it back to the dealer because the CD player stop working. It was replaced right away with no problems. So for this car seems to be ok. Knock on wood.

Favorite Features

Dual heating on driver and passenger. Large trunk space. Lighted steering wheel controls.

Suggested Improvements

The fold down section of the front seat. there is no back support for the third passenger. it is only about 8" wide. Poor location for the cup holders There should be a pull out on the dash.

Review

Outstanding performance for v-6; Suspension (optional sport) does a great job on twisty roads. Comfort features (heated seats, etc are very nice touch); we have been very pleased with this vehicle in town and on one 5000 mile trip. Gas mileage is an amazing 30mpg - even at 70mph plus. Little too much road noise on some roads, but that is not hard to live with.

Favorite Features

Acceleration and gas mileage

Suggested Improvements

Little more damping on the road noise

Review

Excellent noise free ride, good torque & fuel economy. Excellent style & interion space, roomy trunk. Engine is easy to service as there is room to spare for changing serpentine belt & oil filter.

Favorite Features

Center arm rest is the right height for comfortable driving as are the cup holders & cell phone holders. Great radio & message center. Trunk lid not opening fully helps in bad weather. Noise free ride, no creaks & groans as my 97 Eagle had. Uses regular unleaded gas. Excellent seats.

Suggested Improvements

This car is great as far as I am concerned. Dont change a thing, I love it.
