Leased 2 impalas -- 3.4 and 3.8 LS
By Ed Liss on

Vehicle

2002 Chevrolet Impala LS 4dr Sedan (3.8L 6cyl 4A)

Review

Best cars I ever owned. Tight, trouble/maintenance free. No problems whatsoever. 3.8 handles better than 3.4, which has just adequate power. Lease on both is up 9/02. Looked at new Deville, spoke to current owners and mechanics. All gave thumbs down to Caddy. Looks like I'll be getting 2 new '03 Impalas.

Favorite Features

RDS radio, traction control, car comes fully equipped except for leather seats, sunroof, and rear spoiler. Who needs this crap, anyway??

Suggested Improvements

Rotors get high spots on them prematurely, leading to shaking when braking. Learned that the rotors were not designed well. Has been corrected on newer models.
