2000 Chevrolet Impala Sedan LS 4dr Sedan

Review

Even though it was maintained to factory specs by the Chevy dealer and not driven hard, it has required a new transmission at 75,000 miles, new radiator fans at 70,000 miles, numerous power window motors and numerous batteries. The interior build quality is poor, especially the plastic trim pieces.

Best Features

Gets good mileage for a 200 hp V6. Lots of room. Dual AC controls are great.

Worst Features

Improve mechanical reliability. Improve interior quality of part and fit/finish.

Review

Happy with the purchase. No major issues at 81,000 miles other than four- year-old OE battery dying at 60,000 miles (it was old,) and getting the steering shaft lubricated. Very enjoyable car, sporty enough for the money. Glad I bought it.

Best Features

Excellent aftermarket support. Ergonomics are great. Nice exterior styling.

Worst Features

Interior is not so good, too much plastic. Seats are comfortable, but the leather is a little too plasticky/vinyl looking for my tastes. Fake wood looks...well, fake.

Review

I replaced rotors at 60,000 miles, along with the steering couplerer, and new tires. This car is a nice size, and has great speed, but Chevy needs to try to improve their cars more if they want people to continue buying them compared to others.

Best Features

Features on the steering wheel

Worst Features

The whole front end of the car.

Review

Economical and fun to drive, my Impala has ample power, and lots of room and comfort. It has a smooth quiet ride, and is easy to find aftermarket parts for, such as my cold air intake and Flowmaster cat-back exhaust system. I couldn't be happier.

Best Features

Column shifter, I love it on long trips. Floor shifters make a taller person feel cramped. Roomy interior and trunk, and plenty of power, even when it was stock.

Worst Features

Front end is a little bit noisy on rough pavement.

Review

Purchased from the original owner one year ago. Car has been great. Nice to drive, gets good gas mileage on a trip. It's nice and roomy. Have had no problems. Would consider purchasing another one in the future. Only thing I replaced so far is tires!!

Best Features

Nice large trunk, nice sounding radio.

Worst Features

None
