We have a 2006 Chevy Express that we bought used. The last row only has lap belts. We found someone on craigslist that has a 2000 Chevy Express that she says has all shoulder belts. I haven't sent my husband to go look at them as its a drive away from us so I wanted to see here if you thought they would be compatible. Could we putt 2000 Express seats ... Read More
My 2006 6.0 v8 Chevy express has engine miss noticeable at idle and acceleration. My mechanic has identified #1 and #4 as the problem. Mechanic has replaced injectors, replaced intake gasket, swapped coils from known good cylinders to bad cylinders and did a compression test on all cylinders showing above 170 on all. The engine continues to miss. The miss is always there 99% of the time, more pronounced at times....Rarely ... Read More
Larry, I just traded in my 2001 Express for less than $6000 so your conversion van being 2 years newer than mine may be worth between $8900 and $9900 depending on other options installed and interior quality. I am now a new owner of a 2007 Chevy Express 3500 15 passenger van with a smaller 6.0 liter V8 engine hoping to save a few miles of gas. Anyone else have a ... Read More

The Chevy has a grease housing around these joints where as the Toyota and Dodge didn't. I rememeber I could always hear them squeaking in the Toyota and nothing you could do ... Read More

The garage who imported the van tells me this is ... Read More
We are also trying to get a knowledgable opinion about the 2006 Chevy Van Duramax/nonAllison transmission. Can't decide whether to buy the 6000 vortex or the diesel. We tow about 7000 lb. horse trailer with our 97 van (5700 vortec) which doesn't have enough power. Should we be risk-takers and go with the new diesel combo or stick with gas?
