2005 AWD Express Explorer Conversion with Tow package, 5.3L AWD. I tow a 30ft I/O Pontoon most weekends May thru September, 25 to 30 miles each way. You really know it is there mostly at 50MPH+. From a stop you hardly notice. When I first tested a similar tow vehicle it had a 5.7L and was much better at the 50MPH+ speeds. Start/Stops were equal. Hope that helps.

I know the fuel pump located in the 1997 Chevy Express is through the TOP side of the gas tank. We have had ours replaced last August 2005 and now have a sending unit problem. It doesn't register properly and we can get a free replacement since there is a YEAR warranty on the fuel pump. We were warned about the fact that chevy fuel pumps are basically garbage. Whether dealer ... Read More

Just bought our 2005 express 3500 extended passenger van and we are excited about it. I have a couple of questions though and would appreciate any help: 1) Is it pre-wired to hook up a brake controller? 2) Any recommendations on adding an extra transmission cooler? 3) How is it different than earlier years (body, engine, etc) - useful in looking for aftermarket accessories? 4) Any problems if I add a ... "GMC's Savana full-size, rear- or four-wheel-drive van is the subject of two recalls, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced.
