Has anyone ever added an external tachometer to a 2004 Chevy Express, with a 6.0? If so, any tips or hints or directions? Much appreciated!

I have a 2004 Chevy Express 3500 with the same problem. I have driven the van since new and it now has approx 42,000 miles. I had the discs turned a couple years ago. On only two certain hills in our area, when I have to pump the brakes, a slight vibration will start and increase with each pump until the steering wheel shakes uncontrollably. I have a 2007 Chevy Express Basically the exact same van that exact same bump has bothered me from day one. It has always been there and is supposed to be ....sorry

i had this problem on a ford van , and could be the same thing. as for tighten it i don't think so but there is a way of rotating the arm and there should be a place where the arm will slid forward and taking it off the hinge. that is a G3500 Express and only has 42,000 miles on it. How would I find out what the van is worth in order to sell it? Kelly Blue Book and Nada are of no help at all. Thanks everyone.

Hi all, I'm working on a 2004 Chevy Express 3500, and the instrument panel gauges have died. When the car starts up, the arrows wiggle a little, and the alternator gauge goes to normal, then they all quit. the panel still lights up, and shows the prnd, but no little underline bar to tell you what gear you're in, and the odometer is no longer adding miles. I can look in my factory service manuals to see if the seats your looking for would fit your vehicle.give me some time to look into it..From 96 on when the new chevy chassis was introduced there has been little change in many aspects of the vehicle.In 2004 the stabilitrac was introduced into the vehicle.Glad i just happened to buy a used o4.Im still learning the variouse vehicle model codes such ... In 2004 I purchased a 2001 Chevy express 3500 with 74000 miles from Enterprise. It has 14 bucket seats. I'm very happy with it. Drove it to upstate N Y and back from Los Angeles with no problems. I did have to repair a rear axle seal leak recently. It will cruise all day long at 80 mph with 10 people. It can get up to 15 mpg on the road. ... Read More

The arm rest on Pass side of the front Bech seat is real loose, no zippers on it. What can be done to tighten it? How do you take it off?

Will it still loose half its value in two years? It might - heck, lots of normal cars lose 40% of their value in a couple of years. I talked to two couples the other day at an interstate rest area from BC who were convoying in two fancy conversion vans. They seemed to really be enjoying themselves. Steve, Host
