I'm thinking of trading my Equinox LT 2005 next spring for something more economical and not to expensive. My first idea was the Pontiac Vibe but Pontiac is history now and by the time I'll be ready the Vibes will probably be all sold out from the dealers lots. Thanks for the response. The Chevy dealer got back to me and said that he was told that the front:rear power ratio was 60:40. I assume this is the max distribution. As you say I expect that in normal operation the car is essentially FWD only. Read More...

You can change your power door settings (and other vehicle personalization settings). . .use the "config" button on the right hand side of the center stack and the "menu/select" knob on the right to move through the menu. That's interesting about the holes in the door frame, could you post some pictures of them? I'd like to see if mine has them too, but I'm not really sure where to look. I just got off the phone with Chevrolet's Customer service Center. My advice to anyone looking at the 2010 Equinox.... Stay away from it. First of all the reason you aren't seeing them is because Chevy has a quota to how many a dealership gets each month so they are sold before they get to the lot. While AWD is a big advantage in the snow, there is value all year round. Have you ever hydroplaned go 50-55 mph? Not a good feeling. The AWD also kicks in if slippage occurs while running in a stream of water accumulating in the tire ruts of an asphalt highway in July. Mileage ?
