I had the same problem on my 2007 Equinox about six months ago. Authorized chevy repair center said it needed a new "shift kit". Cost was about $350 total, but no more problems.
I feel for you. I just traded a fully loaded 2007 yukon denali for this for the same reason. I am a single mom and needed something more reliable and better on fuel mileage. Mine would not start 3 times...thank goodness for onstar. But it was cold and I had a client with me and it took a half hour to get to me. I did not call the first time ... Read More
i have had nothing but problems with this car. My major problem right now is the bucking or jerking that my vehicle is doing when I am driving. I thought i got bad gas at first but I have tried different gas since and it is still doing it. I've been having a problem with my key getting stuck in the ignition and this morning after trying to take it out for over 15min I just left the key an had someone watch my car while I dropped off my son at the daycare. The power train light came on and also the check engine light so I drove it to the chevy dealership, I explained what happened and left ... Read More
Hello, we have a 2006 Equinox. We purchased it used in 2007 and have had several problems with it. The engine light would come off and on for about 2 years. It probably stayed on so much that the light prob blew. We took it to the Chevy lot to get it looked at, then they want 100.00 to run it through the computer, which is a big ripoff. Well now, ... I totally agree with you that Chevys are total junk and are unreliable! I have a 2002 Impala that I purchased new in October of 2001, as soon as the factory warranty ran out the BCM went bad $400.00 and the Passlock Sensor another $400.00 and the headlight combination switch went bad and the intake manifold leaked and the ISS steering shaft rattles!! This is only a partial list of why ... Read More

Hello, I am in need of some help regarding my Equinox. I have had nothing but problems and when I tried to address them with the dealer they gave me the number to Chevy and said it was their problem. The man I spoke with at Chevy was very rude. My warranty has now run out on a 2007 Equinox which filled up with water and soaked the entire inside of ... Read More

I have a 2007 LS AWD, which I got in August 07, and had my first winter with it last winter. I live in Chicago, and last year was a fairly snowy winter. Chicago had 3 major Winter Storms and one major ICE storm. I'm really happy with how the Equinox handled the snow and ICE. It was very sure footed. Note that you still have to use caution when driving, ... Read More
GM does not mention that a big share of that hydrogen is used in fertilizer to grow corn to make ethanol to fill the tanks of their FFVs. Another slight problem if you really wanted one of these fuel cell rigs is COST. GM first showed us a prototype of the Chevrolet Equinox FCEV back in 2006, and in fact the vehicle in the text program is actually a 2007-specification Equinox. ... Read More
My wife and I purchased a 2007 Equinox and we noticed that when she sits in the passenger side seat that the airbag light indicator is illuminated OFF. In addition, when it is illuminated OFF, she can undo her seat beat and the seat beat light indicator does not light up. It is a if she is not sitting there. I know there is a weight limit and the dealer told ... Read More
Hey, I'm sorry. The heater does come on if left on previously when I remote start the car. The rear window defroster won't come however, but that probably is correct operation, because when you turn the car off, you have to restart the rear window defroster again. This my daughter's Equinox, and she told me the heater didn't come on with remote start. The car wasn't at my place to check ... Read More

Here's the information that you're looking for, quinto. GMAC's lease program for the Equinox varies by term and mileage allowance. For now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. Let me know if you want something different. Its current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of an '07 Chevrolet Equinox AWD with 15,000 miles per year ... Read More

Hi: Can you please tell me what the current residual and money factor is on a 2007 Equinox LT1 AWD - also is there any lease assistance from Chevy? Thanks Quinto
I bought a 2007 Equinox and went to pick it up today @ the dealership and was told that they could not release it per a fax by chevy. They could not tell me what the issue was only that all Equinox's manufactured @ the same time as the one I was picking up were on hold and could not be released. Does anyone have more information? thanks
I have a 3 week old 2007 Chevrolet Equinox. This has the "D" level trim - sunroof, leather etc... Going through my 1st car wash, I noticed that the sunroof leaked water through the rear part of the sunroof seal. A further observation revealed what appears to be an inproper positioning of the window when closed. The car was in the shop for 2 days. They originaly said that the mechanism ... Read More

I agree about how ugly the Tribeca is my wife don't like it either and it is very expensive. I don't know if Chevy made the 2007 Equinox AWD any better but don't trust what the dealer tells you. My wife asked the general manager at our dealership how the Equinox went in the snow and he said great. We knew not to believe him but boy was he lying. The ... Read More
Last week our new 2007 Equinox lost it's power steering in traffic one block from home. A warning light activated "service traction stabilizer." We had it towed to our dealer for repairs. My invoice states they recalibrated the torque sensor. Has anyone else had this scary problem with their new 2007 Chevrolet Equinox?
Welcome Magooley. This truck's lease payment will depend upon its selling price, how long you lease it for, and its mileage allowance. General Motors is currently providing $500 lease cash on the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, so for the sake of calculating a lease payment on the truck you want that using this car you are able to negotiate a capitalized cost that is right at dealer invoice. I'll also assume that ... Read More
